Best part of the episode. Too bad Kirstin felt uncomfortable about it and had to joke a way out of it. Maybe they actually did expand on it but was edited out. Who knows, but it was an incredibly empathetic and eye openning interpretation from Louis.
It shows how well he understands people and has empathy. It made christina uncomfortable because she doesn't want to admit she's laughing at and manipulating deeply damaged people from a nearly sadistic place.
I listened to YMH from 2015 to 2019ish and got sick of it, but when I saw this vid I knew I had to watch it. Hearing Louis’ take on old classic clips made my life. Louis found the inherent sadness in all of Tom’s fave clips.
He was (and IMHO, still is) the greatest to ever do comedy. At minimum, he is in the running for the top. That fall from grace he had was such a bullshit wrong-place-wrong-time situation. Just glad to see he's still kicking and doing things on his own terms.
Louis C.K's definition of hilarious was "so funny you almost lost you almost went insane" RPC brought Louis C.K to tears, from sadness and laughing and quoted with tears coming from his eyes "It's the funniest thing I've ever seen" Today was a great day in YMH history!
Only three clips and no tiktoks lol. Louis c.k. is so refreshingly funny Tom didn't play clips til towards the end and I didn't mind. Bit when he did play his clips I would have been terribly sorry if it was missed. Louis c.k. needs to do a ymh live lol. I was spotted that Tommy didn't play a vomiting sound bite after Mommy and c.k. announced they both have a repulsion to vomiting to find out if sounds trigger him the same as feeling like you need to vomit yourself. That clip that makes Dr. Drew die laughing would have been hilarious.
It is so fucking nice to watch Louis use his brilliant mind to build deep meaningful comedy in real time. It is like a master class in how to first understand the subject of your comedy, get to know the people you are laughing at, empathize with them, cry for them, see the world from their perspective, imagine how they got here, and then talk about them and their issues through the medium of comedy. I just learn a lot from him, each time, he talks, performs or creates art.
And then "Maybe there was CEO change?" "Well, there wasn't but maybe it was something like that" just the way he said it was so funny, I can't explain it.
When Louis rubbed his lamp and his genie popped out...the princesses in the room were not as welcoming. He didn't even want a magic carpet ride...but rather just wanted them to watch him play with his monkey.

good afternoon. out of curiosity, would you mind giving me just a small insight into how you can still be a fan of louie, given that you are a woman? i assure i will not be responding to your answer unless it seems like you actually want me to, and am not looking for an argument of any kind. i am genuinely curious, since i, as a man, find his actions to be nothing short of sexual assault, and feel that, even if he avoided charges somehow (as he admitted to what he did in writing), why he doesn't need to be accountable for the careers he destroyed (his victims were budding comics themselves). to me, admission of guilt and showing that you understand how and why one is wrong is a big step, but the reason i cannot come back to being a fan of his is that i have seen no attempt to make amends in the lives and careers he negatively impacted by, as he said "abusing the power he had over others" in the form of his scope and influence. thank you, and have a great day. edited only to say that before this i was absolutely a louis c.k. superfan, and wish i could be again.

That's when you know a comedian is great. When they can take one sentence that's not even supposed to be funny and with just tone and presentation it becomes funny.
Louis is probably the most human person I've ever seen/heard. He's so in tune with the human condition and what makes us feel emotions and that's the key to his success and what makes him one of the greatest comedians to ever live.
Louis is such a enlightened person. Wisdom, compassion and understanding just oozes out of him without ever trying to sound smart. His breakdown of the clip leading to 1:44:27 is absolutely brilliant.
At 1:40:00 we can all witness the greatness of Louis Ck. We can kind of go through the whole process of his writing if you want. He takes this silly, crazy subject, he laughs and roasts him and while he's doing it you can actually see the gears moving inside of his head , you can see how he's digesting the whole situation, dissecting the hilarious part from the tragic part in it and then taking the tragic part and making it fun, while still talking about how miserable life is for most of the people. He is the best in doing so, the best in doing this kind of comedy.
You sound like a shitty wannabe writer.. just saying lol.. you're far from how good you think you know about writing... I mean if im wrong list your credits lmao

The honesty level in their conversation is so refreshing. I like Sarah Silverman but there’s a post she did a while back that sticks with me as the most after school special moral postering. She talked about overhearing her bf and his male friends discussing how disgusted they are at their younger selves for throwing around ‘phag it’ in the 90s, and how they’ve grown so much since then as ppl and realize how hurtful and traumatizing it is to us gay folk. Then of course ppl in the comment section are all congratulating each other on canceling that awful word. Meanwhile 😂, in drag shows and gay clubs around the world: ‘f you you f’ing phag whoo-ore! You spilled my drink! Messy betch 😅!’ - most gay folk. Woke ppl today deciding what words minority groups are not allowed to use because ppl used it to abuse us is still them trying to control the narrative and white wash anything that reminds them of their past bigotry.

Louis’s artful take on the desperation of Robert Paul Champange was great
Best part of the episode.
It felt like O&A

I listened to YMH from 2015 to 2019ish and got sick of it, but when I saw this vid I knew I had to watch it. Hearing Louis’ take on old classic clips made my life. Louis found the inherent sadness in all of Tom’s fave clips.
Interesting why’d you stop watching I did too in around 2020
The genuine awe and wonder in Louis's eyes when watching RPC is priceless.
Rpc brought that man to tear hahaha

Literal tears of laughter in my eyes when that happened.
I laughed so hard myself when they got into the clips, I swear I'm still high. That was hilarious !!!

He also wasn't lying in the slightest. He genuinely felt bad for laughing at it
That made me feel stuff. It was fascinating.
Hollywood doesn't deserve Louis, you can see how genuinely thoughtful and caring he is. Just a wonderful human being!
Out of all the recent podcasts Louis has been on, this one is the best! He was riffing so well with them
Louis CK was meant for YMH. That man is so naturally funny.
He was (and IMHO, still is) the greatest to ever do comedy. At minimum, he is in the running for the top. That fall from grace he had was such a bullshit wrong-place-wrong-time situation. Just glad to see he's still kicking and doing things on his own terms.

Louis C.K's definition of hilarious was "so funny you almost lost you almost went insane"
RPC brought Louis C.K to tears, from sadness and laughing and quoted with tears coming from his eyes "It's the funniest thing I've ever seen" Today was a great day in YMH history!
Bruh, i cried for the first time watching the Asian guy get backed into.

So funny you almost lost you almost went insane. HUH?
That "hilarious" bit always bothered me actually, because he was clearly thinking of the word "hysterical".
When Tom said “put those headphones on I want to show you something” I knew it was the car backing up video🤣

This made me laugh man haha
It is so fucking nice to watch Louis use his brilliant mind to build deep meaningful comedy in real time. It is like a master class in how to first understand the subject of your comedy, get to know the people you are laughing at, empathize with them, cry for them, see the world from their perspective, imagine how they got here, and then talk about them and their issues through the medium of comedy. I just learn a lot from him, each time, he talks, performs or creates art.
"They took the show off and I have no idea why.." Absolutely brilliant LOL
And then "Maybe there was CEO change?"
"Well, there wasn't but maybe it was something like that" just the way he said it was so funny, I can't explain it.

good afternoon. out of curiosity, would you mind giving me just a small insight into how you can still be a fan of louie, given that you are a woman? i assure i will not be responding to your answer unless it seems like you actually want me to, and am not looking for an argument of any kind. i am genuinely curious, since i, as a man, find his actions to be nothing short of sexual assault, and feel that, even if he avoided charges somehow (as he admitted to what he did in writing), why he doesn't need to be accountable for the careers he destroyed (his victims were budding comics themselves). to me, admission of guilt and showing that you understand how and why one is wrong is a big step, but the reason i cannot come back to being a fan of his is that i have seen no attempt to make amends in the lives and careers he negatively impacted by, as he said "abusing the power he had over others" in the form of his scope and influence. thank you, and have a great day.
edited only to say that before this i was absolutely a louis c.k. superfan, and wish i could be again.
