It's a nice figure. It was originally meant to be an Amazon Prime collaborative, but the listings disappeared and for a long time, people thought Amazon Prime was dead.

I hope this gets recolored into a more regular Optimus Prime color. He looks amazing.
Some people have suggested that this Optimus might be released as the "hero" prime from G2. The front of the cab would need to be able to be used as his feet though. It's too bad they didn't give us a santa hat.

@@MiXVoy Nah, they'll make the cannon for the back of the truck in such a manner that they can sell it at leader price I'm sure. Hasbro's got to keep those profits up after all.
I dont mind his bot mode, but to me it really shines in vehicle mode. It has a lot of realistic design features that make him look more like a model. These days everyone wants cartoon accuracy, but I preferred it when they actually looked like real world vehicles more.

I would get him only if he was in normal colours but even then I would get him even in the Christmas colours.
I'd love to start my Optimus collection with this figure. It's so gaudy and I just love it.

What I really like about this optimus prime is that he actually looks like a robot in disguise and I also like the new mold and repaint, I will maybe aonsider to pick up this.

This figure looks fantastic! And not to mention it is 100% going to be turned into another Optimus figure at some point, it’s only a matter of time. Phenomenal review as always PvP!

It resembles Energon Optimus with the wheels on his back, so I see a potential retool for the legacy line.
That head sculpt gives me hope for an SS86 Prime.
On the official Hasbro Pulse website the matrix of the Holiday Optimus is being referred to as the Matrix Of The Holiday Spirit.
I think it's a nice touch.
I love this figure. He has a masterpiece feel to me, as he has the amazing rear truck bed, and an awesome transformation. Even though he is a novelty figure, he is one of my favorite figures. I only have a few problems. His hips can pop off during transformation, (but I don’t struggle too much with it though), the front doesn’t peg together perfectly (doesn’t bother me though, I love it too much) and the trailer wheels don’t sit flush. Due to them needing to use the adapter, it causes the trailer to lift higher than it should, and because the peg is a bit tight, it doesn’t spin well. I know I listed multiple problems, I love this figure, and he’s a pretty great figure. Sadly, his gun doesn’t fit on his back when he is in robot mode, but again, I love this figure so much that it doesn’t bother me.
Fun fact, the matrix packaged with this isn't actually the Matrix of Leadership, in the description it's called the "Matrix of Holiday Spirit" which got a big kick out of me.
I definitely see them retooling this into Combat Hero Optimus Prime. All they need to do is flip the legs around to have the truck nose in the front.

I find it funny how this Holiday Optimus, Laser Optimus and Earthrise Optimus remind me of Optimus's vehicle transformations throughout live action movies but with his G1 robot mode appearance
There was a G2 Laser Prime figure in 2011 that put flame decals at the front of the truck, further strengthening that connection with Bayverse Prime
@@SirGrimLockSmithVIII It was the Reveal the Shield release. They also repainted it blue for the unreleased blue deco of Hero Prime
Aside from other basic retool, looking at the cab design, perhaps they can remold this further and reuse the engineering to give us the Last Knight, AOE, prime.
The first Optimus Prime toy I ever got was a G2 Optimus, as a Santa Claus Christmas present under my stocking hung on the fireplace mantle. It was def one of my best Christmases in my childhood. The second best was when I received Combat Hero Optimus that same year for my birthday. This kind of combines all the nostalgia feels of all those things. so I love this figure so very much.😍😍😍
holiday optimus prime truck mode is one of the best truck modes i've seen.

I LOVE THIS VERSION OF OPTIMUS PRIME!! They think it’s a remold of Motormaster, but no, it’s a new mold.
I thought maybe it shared some tooling with Motormaster but to my surprise completely brand new!

This figure should totally be retooled into an Energon Optimus Prime, since those wheels end up on his back.
Robot mode its pretty cool, classic Optimus, but that truck mode is AMAZING!

Another reviewer identified that this could easily be retooled into G2 Combat Hero OP. It really isn’t far off at all. The cab as legs and the back wheels being on the sides (sort of in this case).
ho, ho, ho I think he looks just great, especially having the cab on his legs it's a nice candy cane twist, literally turning Prime on his head. Now all we need is OP done properly from this mold.

I want one of these for my collection. My son had me order one for my wife as a gift because she loves Optimus.
I like the concept. Imo Holiday Repaints can look good if done right. The tractor trailer mode looks great.

I made it for a joke. This hole "Its gonna come in fast" means that his going to shoot the Candy Stick from Cannon, because, let's just say it, his Cannon looks like its made for shooting Candy Sticks.

NGL, when I saw this figure at first. I was kinda lenient. But seeing how it transforms and what it transforms into, I was sold on getting it.
Missed opportunity, they should have made the Matrix into a Christmas wreath.
With The black hands and white piping at the wrists,coupled with the holiday-themed paint job,Optimus's robot mode closely resembles Santa 🎅 Claus. 🎅
Surprisingly interesting figure. I just wish they'd made the truck cab windows turn into the robot chest, which probably would've helped slim down the lower legs as well.

I love the vehicle mode its really cool and looks different then I thought it would be.
I can see them retooling this for AOE and TLK Optimus, reminds me of that truck a lot

It's quite strange that Holiday Prime isn't available on Amazon yet it's available on Hasbro Pulse despite the fact that he turns into a Volvo truck which was rumored to be an Amazon Prime Optimus as the huge semi delivery trucks are those, LOL.

If I think about the legs as bellbottoms, then I adore it even more. It's like that 80's or 90's cheesy christmas vibe and I adore it
Say what you want about the shell on the back of the legs but the engineering in them is fantastic. From the front this optimus looks wonderful. Just got him myself and yeah he's something else. I'm thinking of a Christmas set up get him a bag and hat and keep him displayed in truck mode the rest of the year maybe....idk but it's a neat concept.
I got mine yesterday and I really like this figure. The Santa outfit paint job turned out really well and the mold is really neat I cant wait to see what repaints they do with it. My only complaint with the figure is how the inside of the trailer is solid white, I would have liked it to have the drone painted green like an elf since it's Prime/Santa's helper.
Could easily be remoulded into updated transformers prime Optimus

First of all this mold looks absolutely amazing I'm hoping this mold gets a good repaint and the version of Optimus Prime at least to me that this mold screams is the G2 combat hero Optimus Prime especially considering the fact like the original toy the front of the cab forms the legs and all they would have to do other than a repaint is give the thing some sort of missile launching weapon that would not only attach to the trailer but also to one of the arms
I'm not crazy about the paint scheme but at the same time I hope this mold which is unexpectedly a really good mold gets a repaint.
Lastly one thing I want to point out about the cab is that I think this is like the second Optimus Prime toy we've ever had that has duallys for the rear wheels like on a real semi
The green light piping and other pre-tooling type features make me think this will be toxitron in the future
Now we just need Krampustron
My favourite part of this prime fig is the candy cane blaster it is really cool.
This is obviously the basis for a future Hero (G2) Optimus Prime

I'm never going to be the kind of person to buy novelty repaints, but I do really like when they exist, and it feels like its been a while since we've seen something like this. Its a really nice new design for Optimus, and I'd definitely love to see a classic colours deco. I think a Motormaster deco would also be pretty cool for this mold, though I dont imagine we'll be seeing that happen given we've only just gotten Legacy Motormaster.

I got mine Monday. I like that it's different. I see this getting multiple retools and repaints into a possible G2 hero optimus prime, a possible toxitron, and if they retool the legs/cab area I see a possible thunderclash or even a pyro.
Now that is an amazing thumbnail
I hope DNA designs give us an upgrade kit with a gingerbread Roller with fruit pastel looking wheels, a santa hat and maybe some other festive accessories :)

I think this, dragstrip, motormaster, bulkhead, iguanas, jhiaxus, and scourge are on the nice list, and blitzwing, breakdown/wild rider, skids, blaster(only cuz of rebox), core hot rod, comic blurr, and laser prime are on the naughty list

I like him. I really wanted to get this for my son and I to add to our Christmas decorations but it’s sold out everywhere apart from scalped prices on eBay / Etsy. Hopefully HasBro pulse get some more stock or Amazon get some in.

The box is really small! But the figure I was expecting to be this scale as its the same as ER Optimus. What do you think of it?
So this figure is pretty much 95% new parts with the only thing reused from previous molds being the arms, but I'm not sold on this figure, granted it fairly different transformation but my favourte OP in resent years is the Earthrise mold, because it cleans up so well and has a lot of movment in its joints, while the legacy G2, has room for improvement, while trying to seperate its self from the old G2 mold, it kind of hinders its self!
I cant be the inly that sees this, right? The head sculpt looks like a perfect translation of Optimus' head as seen in the 86 movie. I think that there might be an 86 Optimus down the line. after all we're getting an 86 Brawl, yeah Brawl the guy who's only ever contribution was dying and looking like a walmart juggernaut. If brawl is getting a figure for being in the film, then surely OP and Megs will at some point, considering that there hasn't been a figure of their classic designs in nearly three years by this point.

I think it's really good. It would be interesting to see you of the seakers to have the colors of the reindeers and Megatron has Santa's Sled colors in tank form.

For a second I thought it's heavy retool of Legacy Motormaster :D.
I wouldn't mind if they repainted this mould into Toxitron (they could keep that sick Necronish green plastic) and packed without the trailer, at least it wouldn't be Nemesis this time. Although there's little too much clear plastic in spots that are involved in transformation, that thing always worries me.

How interesting the first holiday edition ever! Totally unique transformation. I wish they would have given the interior of the trailer some coloring and detail that bland white interior boring!

I really want this mold redecoed as a non holiday figure. I think the look and engineering are stellar, just don't care for the holiday theming.
