You can't beat those classic Packard grills. So identifiable. Never confused with any other car. It went from wrong to right with those Packard wheels.
I like how he asked if he wanted to check out the museum. It’s funny because you know he did that to get a little break from work. When I worked at a custom chassis shop my boss told me If any customers asked me to show them around or anything to always stop what I’m doing and just talk to them. They are usually just rich dudes that are intrigued by cars haha. But yeah I’d always walk people around the property telling them everything I was told about all the cars everywhere. It was a pretty fun job. I miss working there
It is so PLEASING to see the correct wheels, hubs, and tires on this beautiful automobile. They did such a Fabulous job, actually in the 1930's Automotive Body Design, no other Decade Compares. The 1938 Buick Century, Bugatti every year of the 30's, there were vehicles that just remain the *Best in Automotive Body Design"!* To redesign one is sinful, ought to be a law, I mean "Do Not Ever" jack with PERFECTION! They were Design Geniuses, Artists, its like "repainting a Picasso or Rembrandt", ... No Really! Very nicely "adjusted". 🏆
I'm guessing you never saw many of the "counting cars" cause per Danny , the owner of Count's customs always specialized in finding out exactly what a customer wanted and then they would give them what they wanted and more and in all the seasons I watched the show I was almost always as amazed as the customer was with what Danny and his crew were able to accomplish with the info that they got from the customer and if you're not a completely jaded fan of the old history Channel and A&E car shows hopefully you'll see enough videos on TH-cam to give you a new appreciation of the restorations and customs Danny and his "Count's " customs put out , cause to me, they always went up to what was ordered and at least a couple of steps above what even could have been imagined before the final product was revealed 😊😅😮😂❤😂😊❤😊
Stunningly beautiful car, they did a great job. Now all they have to do is replace the interior with the original style and you have a real masterpiece.
It amuses me to read comments that start off with: "I wish that he/they" or "They should have/could have" or "He/They ruined the car." Folks when are you gonna learn that Counting Cars is a concept reality show. Yes the shop actually exists, Danny and his crew actually exist and they actually do what they do and get richer doing it. Yet the point is all a matter of perspective and the type and style of work that is specific to that shop. There are hundreds of custom and restoration shops all over North America, but only a few get a television series. There are only two kinds of customers. Ones who want absolute original restoration OR ones who want modifications. Now which do think costs more to do? If you say with all of high end automotive technology and upgrades, the sky is the limit. Now that may be true, but it is not logical, practical, reasonable or of common sense, but some people have nothing better to do than spend money. The reality is that it is more expensive and time consuming to fully restore a vehicle to its original showroom condition. Almost every thing has to be rebuilt without fiberglass or bondo. That means cutting and reshaping metal, often straightening the frame and the worst part the car they are starting with has been attempted a restoration by an amateur 'Do-it-yourself' who gave up. Finding original parts is time consuming and labor intensive, not to mention making them look brand new once again. Restorations almost never come close to estimate and never below. Doing that kind of work requires an open contract with lots of leeway. Of course no show is going to release episodes where a customer freaks out and wants their money back plus their car put back to the condition it came in. There are protection clauses in the contract to prevent that anyway. They are under the umbrella of Caveat Emptor, otherwise, "Let the buyer beware". Point being, what you couch critics think are of no consequence, it's not your show. If it was your show. Would you really be concerned with what other felt you should have done after the fact? Of course not. It's not like you would call up a customer and tell them they read a comment on TH-cam and 'wished' or 'should' or 'could' have done something different and/or better? If you believe that, then I recommend you make an appointment with a mental health professional to help resolve your delusional issues. (Note: This comment was issued with a modicum of satire, sarcasm and dry wit).
I remember my step grandfather had a huge black Packard (I was very young). The car had running boards, a hood ornament that lit up and leather upholstery. I was disappointed when he sold it and bought a newer Packard without running boards.
Greetings to everyone who reads my comment I love the classics I would like to be able to speak English to know everything to talk and learn but I'm happy because I have a translator hahahahaha good day or good night depends on the time you read it
You can't beat the count... Maybe the COPS can just kidding of course 🙂 as always great show Danny and the crew I like it when they do a bike AKA motorcycle
That is a nice car which sows class and luxury without it screaming it, also unusual to see a street rod Packard. Remember seeing that sell at Barrett Jackson, not in person but was sold there when looking this car up.
I mean, it was either that or follow Peerless and Pierce-Arrow straight into insolvency in the Great Depression. At least we got a couple more decades out of Packard as a result.
Personally I thought the baby moons looked good on her the wire wheels bring her back to stock look that's cool also but I would prefer stock interior my thoughts beautiful ride tho
Um, uh, no. They stole and used a '34 Ford. Bonnie and Clyde were killed May 23, 1934, so it would be difficult for them to have a '36 Ford. Isn't this supposed to be the "History Channel?" Is everyone here home schooled? Ever read anything but car magazines? Um, k n o w anything? And why does every old car=gangster ?
Can you imagine driving this car somewhere by yourself, and then when you park it you have to leave it alone for a little while??? That's why I gave up having nice cars, people can't leave other people's stuff alone they have to mess with it. Also there's so many jealous jerks that have to Vandalize stuff

Title says 1930 and the car is a 1940 0:08

Finally, the one time they dont turn a car into a Hot Wheels
They could be held criminally liable of they did that to a Packard.
YESSSSS!!!!
@Gappie Al Kebabi chill daddy it was just a joke
“…. CUSTOMS”. Dummy.
You can't beat those classic Packard grills. So identifiable. Never confused with any other car. It went from wrong to right with those Packard wheels.
His eyes might be on the ride, yet his heart is all about the people, Brother man , you rock !!
Danny your team is top notch!!! I can't wait for more new episodes! You should be very proud of your crew they are phenomenal!!!
Oh my God She is gorgeous
This is the only car show that I watch and think I would actually pay that dude to build me a car.
We have them building a custom van for us as we speak. We are so excited waiting for it to be finished.
@Gappie Al Kebabi bro what 💀
Looking at that car I can't help but think of the Old Man from Pawn Stars he would love that car.

He says 1940 packard but you have 1930 packard in title :)
This is indeed a 1940 not 30
First thing I noticed at the beginning of the vid.
Thank you History Channel.
I "love" Danny. That is why I started watching his program. He is a gentleman, have not heard is language slip.
That rear gangster window is worth big bucks
Wow, I can't believe the door handle is nearly falling off after only 90 years!
🤣😂

That's different to see you guys take the hotrod look away. Nice, change of wheels is everything on that car.
I kinda like the originals and black wall...
It doesn’t look right with the large rear window, but I appreciate that they did that because they actually DRIVE it. Well done. Still a beautiful car
Stunning. Class. I'll take this over any ott supped up custom hot rod muscle car any day.

It looks great because they didn't do much to it
The drivers side door is still off a 1/8-1/16th
Stalin; *Cool! this is mine now*
Packard: Wait it's American you cant ha-
Stalin: *mine.*
So, there was no stallin' him off?
Jeez she's just amazing!
Loved how she turned out good job guys proud of you
Stunningly beautiful car, they did a great job. Now all they have to do is replace the interior with the original style and you have a real masterpiece.
Absolutely gorgeous.
I think artillery wheels would have made it, gorgeous nonetheless...
Keep up the clean designs guys. Way much better compared to those flashy things that you do. Really beautiful car.
I wish they kept the chrome around the rear window.
That window was really nice!
This girl still looks fresh in 2021 💯

Goodness she is a looker!!!! GORGEOUS!!!!!
Cars back then were so cool.
It's a very beautiful car👍
A Beautiful Car...
Finally a good year
I wish this was closer to the original with white walls and all.
STUNNING job guys :) !
Nice job on the Packard
Much better!!!
James Hetfield (Metallica singer) has an impressive collection! Y’all need to reach out to him to see if y’all could remodel a car for him! 🥰
Count I love your program man you guys do amazing work are you going to come up with a new program this year doing new work in 2021 I hope so.👍🏾💙💪🏾💯
Beautiful
No green flames and tribal bandanas wooooah
What a gorgeous car…
Very pretty; interior seats looked awful though.
Smart choice, better!
Only thing we miss is grandfather behind wheel
I remember my step grandfather had a huge black Packard (I was very young). The car had running boards, a hood ornament that lit up and leather upholstery. I was disappointed when he sold it and bought a newer Packard without running boards.
Absolutely beautiful car. Looks very classy. Surprised they didn't go with a more period correct steering column.
I installed an Ididit '40 Ford stainless steel column(which I polished to a high luster) in my 39 Packard for that very reason!
@alleyoop1234 Well done sir!
I m from India... I wish one day I can also modify a vintage car from Counts Kustoms for myself...
I m from India too...if you figure out someway do let me know too🙏🙏
Greetings to everyone who reads my comment I love the classics I would like to be able to speak English to know everything to talk and learn but I'm happy because I have a translator hahahahaha good day or good night depends on the time you read it
Right on man!! Welcome to the future
Tires and rims make all the difference here.
My friend grandfather's restoration garage sherry's Classic Autos restored Packards stock
Shame to lose those snap buttons, I think they look kind of good
Dan looks like a scary biker but he is really a great guy.
sick dude SICK
You can't beat the count... Maybe the COPS can just kidding of course 🙂 as always great show Danny and the crew I like it when they do a bike AKA motorcycle
Why blur out a license plate? Any person in any town, city or state could get a picture of a plate any time, day or night.
That is a nice car which sows class and luxury without it screaming it, also unusual to see a street rod Packard. Remember seeing that sell at Barrett Jackson, not in person but was sold there when looking this car up.
Wow History has changed from the old dusty books of high school to hippies fixing cars!! Woot MERICA!!
This was a great episode, i loved it ..
Wow
Hot rodding a Packard. WHAT A DISGRACE. It should have been restored not modified.
Awesome...
Danny said that it was a 1940 Packard...not a 1930.. somebody got the title of the clip wrong.. still a sweet car though..😎
Danny looks reasonable for me
those less pricey Packards ended up killing the company. They were no longer at the top, but became regular and lost the market to Cadillac. Sad end.
JamesAllmond considering the difference in quality i’d say so!
I mean, it was either that or follow Peerless and Pierce-Arrow straight into insolvency in the Great Depression. At least we got a couple more decades out of Packard as a result.
@@coreymarshall229 When these junior cars came out, they were in direct competition with Caddy, Stude, Lincoln
This is the kind of old school cool that you can't find nowadays...
this in this good shape before the restoration? it is a miracle
Personally I thought the baby moons looked good on her the wire wheels bring her back to stock look that's cool also but I would prefer stock interior my thoughts beautiful ride tho
Covered the snaps on the side, but added snaps across the rear of the conv. top?
So beautiful, unbelievable 👌
Hy from croatia
Where are the cartoon flames you guys usually do ? Lol
I think packards were built near me in Warren, ohio.
WHITE WALLS again. NOOOOOO!
I hope the original drivetrain was salvageable.
Once a premium brand lowers its prices, it cannot return.
Always like 👍 👍
Sweet Ride!!💕
love packards and its gotta have white walls
This show made me eat wn I was sick. It was awesome
then it's awesome now , love to see more awesome cool stuff like this ❤💣💥❤
The interior is so hideous
Cool
Nice looking original car, except the lousy interior seats, colour and steering wheel must go.
0:09 The title said it’s a 1930 Packard, But He Clearly said 1940 Packard. Not just that, in 0:49 he said In the mid 1930s so, what’s going on here
Excellent! Bonnie and Clyde ride again!
Bonnie & Clyde had a lowly 36 Ford, not even close!
That car was built in Warren Ohio
Pinstripes still look off
...”like LElizabeth Taylo earring flip flops & a torn dress”.......what a perfect analogy, that ride is so beautiful 😻
Looks so much better. The wheels changed the car completely
I would like to know the serial number of this car, it is looks like my fathers old Packard. His was 100% original without any street mods.
Can you imagine driving this car somewhere by yourself, and then when you park it you have to leave it alone for a little while???
That's why I gave up having nice cars, people can't leave other people's stuff alone they have to mess with it. Also there's so many jealous jerks that have to Vandalize stuff
That's why it's a gangster car 😂 you just hire some illegal mercenaries to watch it. ;)
I own an equivalent 39 Packard touring sedan. NOBODY ever f&^%$ with it..
I don’t see any difference tho
I like the wheels on it. I haven't seen what they do yet. And maybe a more luxurious wheel would suit the Packard.
Well, after 80 years plus, we all would have some cracks, sags, and wrinkles.
Is it 1940 or 1930? The video description says 1930 but in the first minute Danny calls it a 1940
It's a '40. I'm guessing a typo in the title.
The line still not proper straight!
Wheels and white walls A+
What's with the dew Rag? I mean it's ridiculous on an old guy like him.
rob the elder
That's how he hides his receding hairline....try and find a pic of him without it!
Ahhh I understand
The Picasso of cars ...this is a really nice Packard ...
