- Part 263 of L&L 79-80 playlist. 1980 Fair Oaks:Getting ready for the Medallion's opening night. Laura tells Luke how she feels. An informant tells Mr. Smith what happened with the black book. Sally requests the florist and magician be invited to the opening. L, L and H go to find them. **** This Storyline is really reaching a head... PLEASE try to keep comments spoiler free and only comment about the video on hand. There are a LOT of younger viewers watching this for the first time. I would really like them to see it as close to the way we did the first time.... though I know they know a lot of history that didn't exist yet for us. Let's just try. Okay?? THANK YOU!!

"I would rather die beside you than die inside.." And there it is. Laura was literally dying inside being what everyone else expected, the good daughter, the dutiful wife. That's the truth people now don't want to see, that Laura was never that girl from the time she was young. She always had a wildness in her and it came out with the cult, David Hamilton and finally was set free when she went on the run with Luke. She didn't have to pull him out of the water, but she did. She didn't have to go on the run but she did. What Luke tapped into without even realizing it was the wildness that was already within her. It reminds me of that old 60's song, White Bird. "White bird in a golden cage just sits in her cage growing old. White bird must fly or she will die."

@@ellyreginald6546 But the Laura of 2023 is awesome. She is the Laura I remember from these days. The Greenland story this spring was fantastic. She remembered a code from over 40 years ago to save the world. But just like in 2001 when Luke asked her to help on the "cruise caper" he staged, she was right there to help him. She got her mother to watch Lulu and she took off to help Luke. Not wanting your husband to be a mobster and helping him save the world are two different things. She still loved adventure, but she always wanted to be on the right side of things.
Damn this brings back so many memories to me, not only watching General Hospital but Discos, Drag Queens 1979-1980 were Fun and Crazy times! this is proof I'm only 8 months older than Genie Francis, I sure Remember those Designer Jeans had a couple of pairs myself.
Oh my goodness....their conversation was just so touching. I am so proud of Laura, imo she's come so far. She is just flooring Luke with how she feels, and it's about time! Oooh man Sally gave them a nasty look when they left! Cut throat even! Hutch and Luke are freaking hilarious together too.
I think the reason Luke is trusting Hutch is because Laura kept pushing it. Laura is too gullible and naive. I guess it’s because of her youth.
I was 4yrs. old when these were on the air. and I have to say, its really wonderful to be able to look back at the history of GH! thank you.
Love the banter between Luke and Hutch in this clip.....it was so funny when Luke said that Hutch wouldn't accept tips, and Hutch was like, "Whaaa...what's this?" lol
She's willing to die by his side than away but she won't sleep with him. Smh. Dragging it out, i get it, but if you're running for your lives and you could be killed anytime, are you seriously going to deny yourself the single most extraordinary experience in your life? A love finally consummated? Um, no. You don't waste a MINUTE. But that wouldn't make for much anticipation in your audience.

That was powerful and awesome ❤ Laura expressing the depth of her feelings was a long time coming! I love how Luke was always expressing his love for her so intensely! Not many men are that openly expressive about their feelings! It is refreshing and seductive and a big part of what made this story so addictive for all us ladies!❤

The medallion was what Jennifer gave Luke for a wedding gift that Laura messed up and pawned.

lol.. no I don't think so. She only had a few outfits..and she will only be wearing that pink shirt alone for a couple minutes... in the next clip she has the light blue sweater over it again.....'cause she is in the black wig... if she had her blonde hair out then there is no blue sweater over the pink shirt....most of the time. Of course there are exceptions! ;-)
