You make it look SO easy but I’ve tried oil pastels before and I find them very hard to work with. I absolutely love your work, the colors and angles are just so nice to look at and something I’m trying to achieve now.

I still have Crayola oil pastels from that case of Crayola products they sold at Toys R Us. It’s sooooo old but I never use oil pastels. I must’ve been 7 the last time I did. I’m glad I found this because now I don’t have to purchase something else.

I was kind of having difficulties in learning the method or the technique you are using sir but then I taught myself to do this kind of oil pastel coloring and now I know how to do it! Just follow our heart and you'll achieve this kind of art guys!

OmG you are truly AMAZING! Im also a visual artist who uses oil pastels as a medium buuuut your art is so unique! and has truly motivated me to create again ( depression has took its toll on mine). I haven't created in a while and also oil pastel is a tedious medium, my hand literally cramps up...but im grabbing my pastels again and doing something tonight! :]

I love your drawings so much omg. You got me into oil pastels and I LOVE them! HOWEVER! Mixed media is actually not half bad! I use canvas XL (acid free!!!) mixed media... I thought that my drawing came out okay, but that’s just MY experience with mixed media+oil pastels. I am by NO MEANS a professional or an art major, I just like to draw. So yeah! If you’re a beginner, mixed media mIGHT be a good option, if not, that’s totally okay. ❤️

I love your oil pastel pieces. I love the way you marry structure and color. The texturization process at the end really elevated the piece.
I am also primarily and oil pastel artist. If you don't like that mixed media paper, then you wouldn't like Pastelmat. I don't like Pastelmat with my oil pastels either because it sands them down. Recently, I tried velour paper with my oil pastels and got a very interesting result, although it was fustrating to work with sometimes. You should try it out.

I just want to say thank you for inspiring me. I have used and loved oil pastels for ages, but shelved them when going the realism, hyper realism route which is super trending right now especially with coloured pencils. Like yourself I've been advised to do minimal portraiture which is nice, but I'm wanting something more unique and original. I love your unique style, been watching a lot of your vids and getting major Picasso style vibes which I totally dig with a unique mix of Fauvism too. I'm thinking of just breaking out my oil pastels and going nuts!! I love portraiture but I need to step away from being like a copy machine and just go with whatever! Been in a major funk.

Sophia Rachie fruits, they help you with blending and shading. Start with a pear, then go from there :)

Like fruits, drawing 3D forms such as cubes and circles do the same thing. Pay attention to the local values of the object because oil pastels I’ve found are commonly layered and not just the raw color of the pastel

That piece is AMAZING
To wipe off the scratchy scratch leftovers I bought super duper cheap makeup brushes because they’re overly soft and it’s literally perfect for it. I bought about 10 for 6$ on Amazon and they also come with the sponge tips which I like to use for blending as well! Also use them for soft chalk pastels
You are a fantastic artist. I love that you get right to work and you do beautifully. One question, because I have a box of oil pastels and want to try them; when the painting is completed , does it eventually dry?
