I think this is a French city the giveaway is the Citroen and the van with corrugated panels, I have french relatives and have been going there since I was 5 years old in 1960.
@@Filmboy24 If not a French or Italian city, maybe Belgium out the like and the Citroen 2CV (pronounced 'doo-shhe-vO') was a massive sales success all over Europe. You can see a yellow one totaled in the early car chase in the 1981 Bond film classic FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. Also, the opening had some rare fogging Mike, so you have been lucky the last few years int he results you got.
I’m with the Italy guesses because of the cars and general architecture, and the bar interior. I’m thinking the shop with the lady was an olive oil shop. The church interior was obviously Catholic, and mustache Charlie may have been the other guy’s father or some relative. Very cool film in this series! Thanks!
Thanks, Mike! Yes, I'm thinking we definitely have the right region. On a side note, I just loaded up your camera with a fresh(ish) roll of Vision 2 50D. Wish me luck!!
Made it through the whole Found Film Playlist. What a journey! I kept the skipping to a minimum, but I did skip some stuff sometimes. Will be back often for more!
This film came out really good, I have been juror for super 8 found film festivals out there and this piece would be a very welcome entry indeed, Bravo!
Very nice time travel! On first glance I'd say this is Italy. Cars are mostly Italian and French, some German. People look Southern European, probably Italian. The "protagonists" are also full of zest, which I like. Unfortunately I can't recognize anything written. I see the word Stock mirrored (from the rear) and inside the bar a word ending with "...ati", which is an Italian plural. Anyway: great job as always.
Great find. I actually very much like the effect from the cracking. I'd be willing to bet there is or will be some kind of effect mimicking this in digital. Great video as always!
That’s a great question. I probably should have covered that but Kodak recycled symbols every 20 years for a while. Some films are tricky to figure out but with Super 8 not being created until 1965, it’s pretty easy.
Absolutely, in fact you would want to take advantage of the manual exposure on the camera to over-expose the film by a couple of stops. That camera should do it nicely.
Oh I've definitely read about it, just having a hard time with that price tag. I remember years ago, when they first started with it, it was nowhere near that price.
It is amazing that you get any images at all with this old film. This is a great film, thanks Mike.
Thanks so much, Cecil!!

Thanks, Robert! I think you may be on to something.

That is definitely ITALY. Unmistakable model cars and moustaches from late 70s Italy.

Thank you, really appreciate it!!
Absolutely amazing to watch you work that magic
Thank you, Lyle!!

Thank you, Christian!! I had a real tough time trying to decipher any of the words in the original scan. So much grain 😆
@@Filmboy24 yep. The Ektachrome 160 was grainy stuff. I shot quite a few cartridges back in the day.
The Italian word ending with "ati" should be gelati, plural of gelato .
haven't found any exposed film recently but trust us, ITS ALL YOURS when I come across it ... Big fan of your channel
Thank you, Mike!! I really appreciate it! Thanks for all you do also!!

Crocodile skin filter 😀
Thanks so much, Matthew!! You're right about that, whenever film "does something cool", it seems the filters are sure to follow 😅
3:19 why are there four different dates listed per symbol and how do you know it’s from 1976?

My guess is Italy
Yeah
I think I’m with you on this one, Nisei.
Ektachrome 160 Type G Color film work on a Sankyo Sound 400?

Put some spooky music over it and see what the audience think happened
I like the way you think!
So, Mike
Are you going to buy the new Kodak Super 8 camera? It's only $5,500 😅
🤨
@@Filmboy24 Haven't read about it?
My guess is they're selling a short run they did back in 2016 at a premium price.
