Magnaride are always superior. The stiffness can be soft or hard based on your ride settings. The con side is that its electric so if theres a failure, you're stuck with whatever mechanical parts, which is the soft ride. Its ok but it can be expensive. Certainly more flexible. Take magnaride over coilover btw. More ups than down.
At 41:17, when the rear shock absorber is lowered into the control arm, is the exhaust jack compressing the spring? To what extent is the spring compressed? That's to set the preload on the shock absorber, right? About how much preload is wanted on the shock absorber?
Yes, the spring is being compressed. You don't need much preload on the spring, we usually recommend about 2-4mm of preload. As long as the spring is tight in it's seat and you then set the rear damper, install damper, and the spring won't go anywhere.
Are you seeing the negative camber readings at the front or the back of the vehicle? What we see most often is the front knuckle pushed too far towards the center of the vehicle, which would net you negative camber even if the top hat was adjusted. Feel free to send some photos over to customerservice@zzperformance.com and we can help you out!
With this suspension, would this allow wider tires upfront to fit ? I have issues fitting 235/45/18 upfront because it hits on the stock struts. @zzperformance
@@chiashley26 Sorry for the delay in response. Revisiting this video again, I've finally figured out when i bought my Cadillac ATS 2.0T Luxury that it is in-fact lowered. I didn't really realize this until i went to replace the tires that came with the car when i bought it Toyo Proxes Plus (Best tire i ever used btw). When i went to replace my tires the tire shop told me the car had actually been lowered and now after revisiting this video I can finally confirm the fact that the car has actually been lowered. In fact it sits identical to your in terms of ride height. However, I've noticed my ride has been riding really hard, where i literately feel every bump in the road. So thinking of upgrading to these coil overs. You've had them for 8 months now right? How are they treating you? Any issues? Do you think they are worth the purchase price?
Do you need to get new sway bars to have these on, I purchased some and they’ll be here tomorrow but I don’t have new sway bars, can I upgrade them later down the road or do I have to do them now?
You would need to purchase magnetic ride cancelers to get rid of the light on the dash when moving towards coilovers. They are available from a few vendors online.
Probably about 2.5" in the rear and 2" in the front. The car has a natural rake from the factory (rear higher than the front) and while this ride height tucks a little in the rear, the car is now level.
Why would you ever put coilovers on a ATS,I've put coilovers on a Audi, also i own an ATS,changing the suspension on what is supposed to be a luxury car is a terrible idea, you'll regret it.
I’ve called up there a couple times trying to make an appointment. I have an ats and want new coil overs installed. How do I set up an appointment? Should I come in?
Email Service@zzperformance.com, that'll get you to Bo who is our service bay manager. He is the only one who can set up appointments and service scheduling.
Those coil covers are a nice touch😎
love your parts for the Grand Prix. I wish you guys made parts for the 2005-2011 STS V8.
Why? Nobody would buy them. Even D3 went out of business and they did a lot for the sts/sts v. I have an 05 sts4 v8 1sg f55 fyi…
I'd love to get a set of these, plus the sway bars. I'm quietly hoping they'll be back in stock before August '23.
Genuine thoughts on magnaride vs coilovers. Are they still better than the coilovers?

They used the felt fender liners for noise reduction.
Plastic liners are noisier.
I need help I installed them exactly how you guys did but I keep getting negative camber I keep adjusting with no luck

Can you guys do a how-to on installing you're zz performance lifters on the 3800 series 2. Thanks!
Was that a magnetic strut upgrade as some of the Cadillac ATS/CTS/XTS
can i use it insted of electric one or i will face proplems

Yes, removing the stock style strut will open up plenty of room in the wheel well.
Someone drop a link to that grill or is it just vinyl wrapped?
getsuperwrap.com/ :)
The emblems are just black emblems purchased solo.

Savage cadillac for any and all aftermarket styling. Them and zzp do their stuff specifically for these cars.
I like this I like to drive 🚑🚒😜 so I also have a ATS luxury Awd 3.6. So let’s see🤘🏼

New sway bars are not needed. You can absolutely upgrade those down the line.
What about if my suspension has the magnetic struts

I still don’t understand magnaride but this must make it better
Will these fit on a 08 awd cts
How much of a drop did you end up putting on it?
Probably about 2.5" in the rear and 2" in the front. The car has a natural rake from the factory (rear higher than the front) and while this ride height tucks a little in the rear, the car is now level.
Are they make car lower?
Yes you can lower your car significantly on our coilovers.
@@ZZPerformanceChannel can i lift it? Make high then stock ?
hello serve for ats 2013?
Yes! They fit all years of ATS's
cruze ep 5????
Should be out this week!
Yeah I opt for lowering springs call it a day I don’t have time for all that stuff just to have the exact same look and quadruple the price
Very nice 👌
Yeah this is too much for my brain I can do literally any other part on that car but suspension

Your choice
Bought mine with it already on there freaking drives 1000% better plus the luxury premium v addition man
@@Realpitwavyhow the ride after 4 month? Just got a set
