@@GV-19871 yes that’s one thing I’m thinking about sharing a truck with some random plus it’s terrible trying to sleep when truck is running hitting holes etc. I enjoy cooking meals so it wouldn’t be good to run teams since I wouldn’t have extra time to do my cooking which is a cheaper and healthier option than eating out daily 🤷♂️

@@RunningOTR I’ve been where I’m at for almost 25 years and 95% of our drivers never do a pre/post trip. God forbid something happens one day because they failed to do one, they’ll be trying to claim it’s the company’s fault and not their fault . 🙄

Oh well it is what it is. Sometimes I see old time drivers doing their pretrip or post trip. Which company are you at? Thanks for the support 🙏
@@RunningOTR I’m not OTR. I work for McLane Foodservice in Forest Park, GA (Atlanta). I guess I’m one of the few older guys that still do my pre/post trip. It’s not that big of a deal and in the end we’ll be glad we are doing them. Confidence in your equipment is HUGE as you well know. 👍🏻
@@timtrowell1034 ah okay I deliver there a few times. Exactly it’s not hard to do a pre and post trip to ensure your truck is in good condition and you’re safe and everyone else around you as well. You’re doing local runs to stores? I know mclane supplies a lot of gas stations etc

@RunningOTR Get a NBA wash on your tractor they'll cover your chrome and wash it with a brush, Don't use the Acid(Brighter) it'll dual all your chrome over time I know this because I use to work at one myself, just trying to help you and anyone else pulling into one to save that shiny chrome 10-fo.😎

@@BigBaddaBoom it’s air slide so you slide it supply the trailer brake which closes the pins pull the trailer brake out pull forward or back depending on what hole you want to lock in the pins

Hello that’s awesome to hear brother, I would just say pay attention and get as much knowledge as possible so you’ll do great out here on your own. Mostly just see what the instructor is teaching you, get the pretrip down really well it help you on your test etc. I wish you best of luck in the CDL school great choice to make a great living in trucking brother 🙏
That’s for the lumper fee. We pay that when they use a 3rd party lumper service to off load the product I’m lucky even if I’m lease the company still pays the lumper fees 😀
@@zaybethea1823 honestly I love everything about prime I really have no complaints they keep me busy running always they also have very good equipment and it feels like a family out here. I would recommend prime to anyone I left and I came back just because I didn’t find any other companies as good as prime from the terminals to the fleet manager to the equipment I plan on driving here for a while till I head home and work local. The bad thing is the rates aren’t high but that’s all over not just at prime

It’s very stupid because people drive all day talking on their headset

Lumper fees is one of the biggest scams in trucking... but you don't pay for it but yet it continues... it is what it is..
