    I just finished my repair. I ordered Back Rear Cover Battery Door Replacement and Display LCD / OLED Screen Digitizer Replacement KIT from Digital Supply USA. It took a few hours to finish the repair, after pausing and rewinding your video several times, but it's finally charged and back on. Thanks so much for the video!

    I fixed mine with no flaws. Thanks for the insightful tutorial!! One thing great in particular was the demonstration of how to take each part out and reassemble them.

      Actually, I think that's two things.

    This was extremely helpful, there were a few places where it was not nearly as easy as in the video, but I did my first cell repair ever last night with this video and it came out perfect. Thanks for making these!
    The only thing I would ask is if in future videos, you could take a minute to show the adhesive step prior to attaching the new screen/digitizer. (Or maybe just do a generic video for those kinds of steps?)
    Either way, I feel I will be doing more of these now, thank you again it was a HUGE help.

    Excellent Follow Along had no issues with my repair/replacement. Recommend this video over a lot of the others I had watched.

    There is no need to remove the switch assembles to replace the front glass /LCD touch screen. And I doubt you even need to remove the PCB's either. just disconnect the connector to the LCD screen, & the battery connector but there is no need to remove the battery, then heat up the front screen to loosen the adhesive.
    but be careful not to over heat. And the front screen does NOT come off as easy as in the video! You WILL break it taking it off, but so what, it was already broken anyway or you wouldn't be going thru this in the first place.
    But try to save the adhesive, unless you were supplied with new adhesive, (which is unlikely).
    And it WILL NOT be water proof after your done. Don't push your luck.

      Half way through the video I had to look at the title to make sure I wasn't watching a tear down video on accident .

    I got my screen replaced, everything is working fine but only one problem, the front camera is now blurry.
    Why is that ?

    • @phoneonly10
      @phoneonly10 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because some trash got in there blocking out the view, the person could have had dirty fingers and got that shit on the camera lense

      FedeRico Lopez I don't think so because he cleaned the camera and screen from isnide but nothing changed , camera still blurry .
      He also told me that all the Galaxy S8 Phones which he replaced its screen had the same issue with camera . 😐

      it happened with a iphone 6 i had, it is because while prying open the phone, the camera strip could have gotten damaged with heat or with prying

  • @mando4615

    do i have to do all that just to fix the screen only

    • @kingnathan2
      @kingnathan2 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      that looks alright to me.. but if you haven't fixed a phone before.. don't.. do it.... everything and anything breaks or tears easily

    • @phoneonly10
      @phoneonly10 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No, an experienced repairman would not have to remove soo much, you take to back off, you unplug the battery, remove the battery unplug the screen, remove the screen, put in the new screen, plug in the new screen, plug the battery back in, put the back on again and thats it, done. You dont remove buttons, you dont remove finger print scanner, you dont remove charger port.

    What if I just want to replace the glass?

    • @tastytechaddictsmtb
      @tastytechaddictsmtb 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Sean Robinson then you need to buy a £3000 liquid nitrogen glass remover, a £1000 vacuum press machine, and several thousand pounds worth of various other machines.

      Brit Whit because that's how the phone is made lol, talk to Samsung about their design choices

      You don't have to, it was his choice to waste his time removing unecessary to remove parts

      because when you order a new scree, its basically a new frame, so u just swap your parts into the new frame
