Nice. I use a mister and filtered water. Gently mist the water and wipe down.

That works too Rob, and I have also used it in the past. It's not always that you can get a mister though. :(

Will the soup in the water effect the oil and fat to slip of from the mechanical parts ?

Wiping them down like this will not affect anything in the inside of the reel - if you spray water on the reels, the water will push the salt inside the reels.
Once you have wiped them down, you can put oil in the exposed moving parts and all should be well.

Hi Kit! How about the line which was soaked in saltwater?just wiping it will not reach the inner lines...

I lock the drag on my reels and wash with running water for a few seconds after each use. I make sure the reel is dry before storage. The thing is, if you have spooled your reel properly (line well packed) you don't have to worry about something like this.

After saltwater fishing, I disassemble my reel wash the parts with detergent or diswashing liquid after letting them dry I'll apply grease and oil on the parts which it needs to. Is it okay to do this kind of Maintenance? I have been doing this as part of my routine after a trip.

depends on how long your trip is or what type of conditions you face, unless your reel has been dunked, you don't need to take it apart. taking it apart before a season is a good idea, or before you store it after the season. most times, you just need to wipe the reels down when they just get spray or just gets exposed to the salt when you go fishing.

@@TheFishingKit glad to hear that, I can save some grease and oil the next fishing trip. Keep it up. Thanks.

That works too Joe, but you also allow water to intrude inside the reel - this just takes off what little spray or any layer of saltwater that sticks to the outside. Makes your reels look brand new for a very long time. :)

Just wanted to ask your opinion, i bought some 20g jigs that were on sale and i personally think the assist hook on them is long, as it is almost the length of the whole jig.should i add a single or trebble hook at the end of the jig, and leave the assist hook as how it is? Woild be apprecoatwd to know your personality opinion on this.
Oh maybe for your next video you can do assist hook lengths?? Idk trying to give you some ideas 😀.
