In this vlog we experience everything that the event has to offer, including 5 family stage shows on the front lawns. We share highlights from all of the shows on offer at this fantastic event. We also check out the variety of food on offer for Oktoberfest along with capturing the awesome party vibes on the front lawns!

Glad to see Oktoberfest back for 2024, it’s genuinely one of my favourite events that Towers do! I hope they go all out next year, even more than this year! Now that it’s September, it’s almost time for Scarefest! 🎃

I’d rather the Merlin Parks cared less about sh***y Octoberfest and Mardi Gras etc and spent more time trying to get their rides in a working state. Ride availability is killing these parks especially Towers

Focus on Halloween and make a amazing event.
Everything just always seems diluted and got the prices they charge you expect top tier event.
The reason I am critical with this park is because the potential is huge.

October fest looks amazing I think It will work better having it all on the Main Stage so you don’t have to run back and forward between the two locations
The opening times are also fair maybe on weekends the rides should be open a little bit later but then it is more for the entertainment to watch
I hope they keep the tent up for scare fest and Christmas but they would have to take it down quickly for fireworks
I know it’s a few months away but I really hope that Christmas is back to like it was in 2021 and 2022 with the Christmas markets and hopefully there is ice skating and a garden light trail

Can’t believe we were under the entertainment tent at the same time as you and missed you! We were at the back of tent! You can just about see my husband in the yellow at the back when the umparty band were on.
Ps the entertainment was great and we had a brilliant day!

Unfortunately so. We do still really enjoy this event though!
I went the other day, probably 15th visit in 8 years, with hotel as well. It was an absolute garbage experience this time and I'll save my money until the company/group changes hands again, which is inevitable in the next few years.

Wickerlad, how did you find it. I went on Saturday and really disappointed. In the whole park to be fair. The event seemed alright but the rides were still the main draw for me and the availability was worst I've ever seen

- Express Car Parking
- Platnium Fastrack (which was well worth it as i managed to get over 20 rides with it)
- VIP Host (It's great as they take you round the park give you details and answer any questions as much as they can and even if the fastrack que is big, they can take you to the front on some rides i.e. Oblivion, also they can skip the que on Nemesis Sub-Terra even though it isnt included on the Platnium Fastrack)
- Freestyle Vessel (Already activated and the VIP host can fill it up for you while your on a ride if you want them too)
- Oktoberfest Stien or a Alton Towers Resirt water bottle

We usually visit Alton towers once or twice a year in the summer. We're planning to get annual passes for next year and visit at least once a month so we can see more of these events that we miss out on. My youngest is really looking forward to going on Wicker man in the dark 😁.

Good morning Shawn and Charlotte as I haven’t talked to you 2 for a while which I have been very busy with most things over the past season.
Mr Titchmarsh will be pleased with the flowers. 🎵They’re the most tip top, Top Frogs!🎵 Sweet Caroline will be a good song for me to sing during Karaoke. I thought the man who’s one of the performers dressed up as the original Disney Gepetto at 10:55. A bit of KISS at 10:40. And cheese is both greasy and fattening as that’s why most of them are expensive at 16:55. Incidentally, the good news is I know I gave Alton Towers a miss, last year because I had too many breaks at other places, this time, I’m going there on Saturday in late October as are 2 about that day but I will leave the theme park at 5.00PM to avoid traffic of football matches, etc?

Great video guys I'm going alton towers next year
How come you didn't stay until the very end? The atmosphere really ramps up as it gets darker after ride close. Also, I heard the monks with their barrel did appear later in the afternoon/evening.
We had another event that we wanted to visit nearby and it was held on the same day! As the shows repeat, we watched them all once and then went to our next event!

Come to Neath September Great Fair, it starts on the 10th of September and it finishes on the 14th, it's a showmans guide funfair, and it's the biggest fair that comes to Wales. You'll enjoy it and there will be a tagada there, and new for this year is a KMG Tango!!

Can't help but feel you were being over generous with this, it felt like a Towers PR vlog. No one really goes to Towers to watch a singer, especially at £50 prices. They are simply crowd fillers used to justify justify a more expensive entrance price.
This is true I will happily watch this sort of stuff if I'm eating and drinking or walking past on my way to the next thrill ride

Seems like Merlin can put the effort in when there is opportunity for upselling of food and beverage (300% mark up) but fail to provide the basics of consistent ride operations.

That looks fun lol, certainly a bratwurst and a few beers for me. I think the bar is pronounced 'vunderbar' - not 'wonderbar' (w = v in English) though Shaun. Wunderbar means wonderful in German. A nice play on words for a bar. Anyway loved the vlog guys.

They probably decided to rest Darwin the dodo for this year, personally I 😢 they do bring him back for next years oktoberfest or maybe there creating new show/script for him at the event next year unless with the cutbacks it has meant we lost some of the roaming characters for the Events as well cutbacks around the rest of the park.

This is amazing and puts Thorpes Octoberfest to shame. Went today and it was too kiddiefied. Where as Altons seems truly for everyone! Thorpes sadly seems lazy this year.

Hi all! The park is open until 19:00 on Friday the 13th. Does anybody know how late the rides will be open?
Ride close is usually 5pm or 7pm depending on the day during Oktoberfest

They should sort the rides out before doing this

Prices are very expensive
7.50 for flat beer as well
