This is SO good. I don't know much about instruments in general or music theory myself, but the melody at the beginning gives this magical feeling of wonder and willingness to explore. The Green Hill theme played by the guitar is like if Sonic was slowly remembering how this place sounds like, while also paying homenage to the focus on rock that the series has, and it's absolutely incredible. And the impact of the drums reminds me of the homming attack in this game, which feels way more impactful than it ever has. I can imagine timing some of them to the rythm. Anyway, that's my interpretation of this music, at least. Amazing work!

The drums are rock drums like the drums you would hear in rock. And they give off a harsher and more explosive vibe. That’s what i was going for, rock drums with a melodic melody. However I don’t wanna disregard what u said about the drums being too loud. That may also be the case due to me not mixing the sounds good enuf.
Can i ask what that reverse sounding instrument/sample name is? Ive always been curious and would like to use that sound but i dont know how to find it haha
the sound is from a vst/plugin called SRX World. it's in the last patch PR-D and it's the 5th preset. the preset is called DerangedMind. If you need help getting it or don't understand fully, just join my discord server and i'll tell ya there.
