My N1K is currently sitting at the dealer, potentially with a bent frame from the factory, after less than a week of ownership, no accidents, never dropped, etc. Wishing it was here right now. I keep looking at the Black Widow systems, but being at 4900ft of elevation, and knowing that sacrificing back pressure, especially at elevation, will contribute to a negative loss of low/mid range torque, I keep looking at going with longer than the 200mm silencer. For my curiosity's sake, what was the reasoning behind going with the 200mm vs a different, longer, can?
Its interesting because I ride on mountains above 9k ft elevation often and I definitely feel the loss of power at high elevations with the N1K. The bent frame is very weird man, let me know if you find out what caused it...
Weight savings really. The bike is 520lbs. Anything to shed some weight was huge for me. Also the aesthetic. Sorry to hear about the bike though. Hopefully you'll be ripping soon!
I disagree. the stock exhaust was bulky and sounded without soul. This new exhaust transforms the sound into a spirited growl. thanks for your comment though
I can only presume you mean by the stock exhaust? Because I have the same exhaust on the same bike and the stock one is absolutely terrible and can barely be heard. The black widow is sensational.
Put a Yoshi on mine. People at gas stations always tell me it sounds awesome. Best pipe I’ve ever had.
She sounds great! Definitely will need some hearing protection on long rides with this beast! Ride safe!
Wow that sounds amazing.
just bought and received same exhaust yesterday going to install next weekend. post video with baffle out!
Bruh it's loud AF. My neighbors would call the cops on me. I'll leave the suspense for you
