- Putting 275/70 r18 Tyres on my Puma 110, followed by a test drive. I'm guessing they're going to rub, but how bad can it be?

Hi the indicator units were from ebay - I chose them because they had ridged lenses like the originals. The red plinths are my own creation 👍🏼
@@islandrovers Excellent. Im probably going for the NAS led tail lights the same as twisted on the back of mine. But im after some smoked LED's like yours for the front end and like you i have to have the ridges like the original, not a fan of the disco ball looking ones. The diy reflector plinths look great!

Mate can I ask where you got the flares from ? Were they standard black ones and painted, or custom ones ? I would really like to get them for mine. Love your wheels going with your selection hoping road noise is not to bad
Thanks for taking a stand on the white lettering needing to be on the inside. I couldn’t agree more. Having them on the outside reminds me of guys who wear their gold necklaces on the outside of their shirts. Not a good look at all!
I would recommend a 2 plus inch lift from Old man emu, or better still, the air suspension from Tibus Offroad.
Been running these wheels for a few weeks now and I must say I've had no need for a lift so far 👍🏼 thanks for the tip though
New front bumper looks unfinished without end pieces.

These tyres fill the arches. Do you think they are rubbing against the front leaf springs?
No matter what or whether it is new or a jungian vehicle new sports tires enhances the status of the vehicle

Nice! I put Compomotive (UK) PD1881 18 inch rims on my 06 supercharged Sport with 305R60 Nitto Terragrapplers. If the tires don’t rub a tiny bit, they they are just too small 🤪

Nice. I have a 2011 RR Supercharged as well, and I put 285R50-20 Terragrapplers on it. It looked like there was room for more tire. Glad to hear that 305’s fit! I had to lift my sport by two inches to get the 305R18’s to fit, and massage the liners.
@@alanottley Sounds similar - an inch diagnostic lift and some reforming. Still rubs a little on my Overfinch spoiler!
Like I say... if the tires don’t rub a little but, they are too small! I had 12.5x36 inch tires on one of my Defenders (I miss it). I put 39 inch tires on my 101 Radio Body.
what headlights are you running?
On the old Defenders they're Osram LEDs from Thomas Performance.
Do you mind me asking what you paid for the wheel/tyre combo, that is the exact set up I'm looking for.

Hi there, the camera I used is an insta360 X one. The editing software that comes with it automatically removes the stick (but not the shadow!). Its a cool piece of kit!

Your Defender looks great. Do you know what the offset is on the new rims?
Not sure, but there are 30mm spacers to avoid rubbing
@@islandrovers yes, saw the spacers (which are illegal in Australia) hence asking about the wheel offset so I could work out the total. I've been considering 255's but open to the idea of 265's if I can get them to fit. Either way I'll need to put a sender on the transfer case to a new speedo for accuracy.
Looks really great. I’d advise on getting a spare wheel carrier brace to save rear hinges and door structure from taking a pasting That new wheel and tyre are quite a weight.

Finally got my new wheels and tyres ordered today, only 4 but it’s a start, when the 5th one comes in I’ll get that as soon as I can. Can’t wait, thanks for the heads up.
Excellent! I needed to end up doing a minor adjustment to the bolts that control the turning circle. thing major but fixed a rub on the front radius arm.
