  • This is my second DIY analog synthesizer. I decided to make a video of it's Building process. In the last part of the video, I also show it and my another DIY synth in action. Building analog synths is fun, and after all the initial investments, it isn't even that expensive. If you're interested, I recommend to try it yourself!
The synth uses some basic CMOS microchips (40106, 4040, 4051, 4046 and LM358 op amp) for both, sequencer and the oscillators. It is based on a sequencer circuit from:

If you have any questions about the synth or any other of the DIY devices on the video, feel free to ask on comments below!

Thanks for the video. Something at the beginning of the circuit must be creating an oscillation that will be manipulated... Is that oscillation coming from the 27uF cap and pot?

I have the Behringer WASP, the original WASP had a sequencer u get called the SPIDER and I'd like to build a clone of it...

Cool! Are those linear o log pots?

I'm not sure if I remember it correctly, but probably mostly linear. Volume pot is probably log.

Here's a schematic that I sketched on a paper. It may be a little hard to read. Also, there may be some minor mistakes, or some parts that doesn't make any sense. I made some parts of it just by trial and error, so I didn't always really know what I was doing. I never ended up actually making the control voltage outputs, and I don't even know if they would work at all.

What software are you using on your pc to record with the soundcard? I like the spectrum view it has
