Lovely off-grid camp site. A bit pricey for what it is but nice to have the company of the new forest ponies and the deer.

I live 35 minute drive from Ocknell I have been camping there for over 40 years absolutely love the site when my kids were small we found a full set of antlers in the wood I used to seasonal pitch there if the awning is on the grass you have to move it every 20 days I think it’s about 1300 for the season which I believe is approximately 9 months 🥰

What a thing to do, closing a site when you are on it and booked in!! They could of waited until you'd left! At least you found a lovely site to go to, could of been difficult with sites being booked up. Luck was on your side!
Hi Mary it certainly was on our side, the owner seemed confused when we turned up, as if she had forgotten about the booking, but she was nice and very elderly so no drama, just glad we went to the new forest and had such a lovely stay. Take care and safe travels 🙏👍🚌👊🥰

Lovely to see you enjoying the New Forest. Great for Chancer. Our dogs love it. We’ve just had 5 days here before heading north again. Very strange goings on at Dell Croft. I imagine it must have got too much and the daughter isn’t so keen to keep it going. Shame though. Happy travels. 🤗🚌❤️

Hi guys great video absolutely beautiful part of the UK the new forest we had a holiday there one year and we have family in Southampton in fact my mom and dad are off down there non Friday for I think for 4 0r 5 days

I really liked the look of that site but it certainly seemed as though a lot of the vans were long term residents. Lovely to be back to basics and having all the wildlife around. I’m a big animal lover but I too am intimidated by horses after a couple of run ins with them over the years so you’re not on your own there 😬

Thanks Nikki for my birthday wishes, the site was lovely and had a lot of seasonal pitches but also lots of rules for those, only allowing 21 day stays with at least 5 days in between, but also closed October to march, loved the wildlife but still wary of the horses, more coming soon take care 🙏👍👊🚌🥰
