The only thing embarrassing portion of this game was a parent talking to 15 year olds and insulting them. The ref did well, the coach is doing what he can and the parent should shut his mouth and try to coach a team himself if he’s got such a problem with it.
These are parents who probably never stepped on a field to play a competitive match. There are a lot of emotions involved. These are teenagers and at times there's nothing a coach can do when they start feeling frustrated. We see worse things in adult professional matches. The most important thing is that nobody seemed to be severely injured, the ref handled it all very well, and there were players (the goalkeeper for instance) with a cool head who stayed calm and acted mature... I can't say the same about that ridiculous parent.
Ref should've given reds in the second half, blue team was miles better than the white team, should've been 5-0 with the missed chances. Blue team is technically skilled and unselfish, great team. All parents needed to control their tempers despite the tackles and outbursts.
White goalie was excellent. Football is about goals . There aren’t extra points for technical merit. Parents should be banned from watching if they abuse players or the ref. Blue team were very good technically. Frustration was a element in the dirty tackles in the second half as blue were running them ragged.
Blue was very good. They were dynamic and keyed in to each other on and off the ball. But they look like they could not finish writing a sentence let alone goals. As a referee, I would have thrown red at both players in the second half that started fighting. The white player was a constant through the first half in poor tackles and unnecessary physical play.
@@andrewsmith9174 but bruh their touches were awful and sure they had the right idea but just never executed but I do agree that the blue was better but I don’t think they were any good tbh
Red cards? Which ones? The red card i saw was most likely for the keeper handling the ball.. the rest is frustration and passion to win the game.. no punches were thrown just handbags
The parent talking to coach is absolutely embarrassing. Let the ref deal with it you clown. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM IN YOUTH SOCCER. genuinely feel sorry for all of the kids.
The parents are mad because the inferior team is playing like they are intentionally trying to hurt the other team. That's cheap shit and the coach should be ashamed of how his players are playing. I'd yank any kid on my team that started playing cheap like that.
man that one parent is soooooo deluded. hes the reason good coaches quit or why good players stop playing. making fun of kids and telling a coach he makes $2 an hour to coach......wtf where is your head at
Parents like these are why I have called off games at youth and High School levels. Absolutely disgraceful to the game! Did the white team commit a few 'dirty' tackles, yes. This still doesn't excuse the behavior. Refere did NOT let it go. I may have dealt with the slide/disallowed goal and the pushing (no actual punches were thrown) shortly afterwards with a little more "this crap will NOT happen anymore today" type of thing... but meh, each referee is different.
For an indoor league game I probably would given red cards to both players. The pushing, even though probably accidently, ending up being arms throw in the direction of each players head. That's enough for me to call it violent conduct for an indoor match.
Parent was completely in the wrong and I hated it. To be honest though, because its indoor, the ref needs to be much harsher. A few of the white players deserved reds. I guess the parent has anger issues or something haha.
Seriously, the worst you’ve seen. That’s unfair. These kids are 14/15 yr olds. They play football in a country that is dominated by ice hockey, baseball and basketball, football gets the scraps . These kids are all of a decent skill Level, maybe their coaching is lacking but I thought they were good.
That's the thing that kills me. Parent's don't realize the commitment that coaches put forth in training their kids. To insult him with the "you can only get this $2 an hour job", goes beyond his coaching and into his manhood and being able to provide for his family. Those are fighting words. Since we have to represent for the kids though, I would've had the ref just kick him out. At the end of the day they were just fouls. On the foul where he tripped him and the kicked the ball at him after, he didn't wack him, he tripped him. Two very different things. The ref was trying to control the game so 2 mins appropriate but it wasn't that bad.
The ball could give him a concussion, or land on the groin, it's serious and should be treat as such. Sh*t reffing should be called out and unsportsmanlike / cheats kicked out. I've played in games where refs give yellows to players who simply insult another dude, let me tell you, it calms everyone down. The ref here wasn't trying, at all.
Usually in this channel there is 2 types of teams, the one who came to play football and the one who came to pick a fight, this is an excellent example xd
Thats how football is there will always be 1 team that is more skilled and the other needs to be more aggresive..we see it all over football, Barcelona ( Guardiola era) vs Real Madrid ( Mourinho) or Atletico Madrid when they won the league back in 13/14, nothing wrong in doing what you need to do to win the game, and these were aggresive but normal fouls, 80% were yellow card fouls in games
Sports like this are built off volunteers and people being paid low amounts in place of working in a job they hold a passion for and developing a sport further. That parent should be ashamed of himself, really poor example to set to all the kids there.
Some people need to realise not every foul is intentional sometimes a player goes for the ball and doesn't get it and when that happens everyone should shut up and get on with the free kick
Agreed. When I saw it happen (even before the replay), I thought "good goal." definitely wasn't a foul since he was following through on a shot he was taking.
The blue team really knows how to make the most of a challenge don’t they 🤦 embarrassing…. And that parents who’s saying the parents are embarrassed is a disgrace.
The red waved it off because he thought that the attacking player make contact with the keeper and interrelated with his ability to gain control of the ball
This is when the action of the parents SHOULD directly impact the kids. I am as competitive as they get when it comes to watching your kids play sports and when I used to play sports, But its these kinds of parents that do nothing but embarrass themselves and the children they support. The man was openly talking ish about other peoples children, and where I am from, you would be lucky to walk away without getting you rear end kicked all over the place by other parents. Just let the kids play and figure it out for themselves, and then talk to them about what they learned after they are off the field. You would be surprised to see what they learn on their own. But then again, I am not surprised to see this kind of mentality on a soccer field.
I live in Houston Texas, and I must say, if this is the level of soccer in Canada then they are miles beneath the levels of youth soccer here in Texas. The skill level is very poor. Thanks for the video, it’s always nice seeing amateur games from different parts of the world
north york academy were fine they just have to work on passing, tackling, shooting, link up play, dribbling, pressing, set pieces, trasition, counter attacking and temperament .
Some of these fouls we hard fouls and some were just fouls. However, these parents who call for red cards for every foul need to learn the game. Most of the times these parents are the rich elites who don't want anyone to touch their boy.
North York played dirty. Simple as that. If one player does it, not the coaches fault mostly. But If most of the team plays dirty, it’s the coaches fault for not teaching them to keep their composure under pressure and not teaching them discipline. The parent had a point but he did also go overboard with the $2 salary comment.
Players can fight in a match, it can happen but is a game - But honestly think parent should stfu cuz theres a ref whos going to deal with it , in that game those parent just want drama , no need to talk about job or money
Just throw all of the parents out and let the kids play, I enjoyed the skill levels of both sides, yeah the whites let their frustrations show but I found myself distracted by the blue teams parents shouting and goading the opposing coach. Bit silly. 2 really nice teams with plenty of good skill on show.
White team fell apart second half. Looks like the midfield got tired because they weren't dropping back to help the defense. The right blue winger noticed and dropped some dimes in the middle for blue to finish. Sucks that the parent's attitude got in the way of the video. But Blue team took the hits and kept on moving. Great team game!
Sheesh the Karen & Kyle in this vid were so annoying, let the ref & coach handle the situation, trying to talk down on a position they probably know nothing about & wouldn’t even be able to do it if you placed them there lmao
Don’t even think white was all that dirty they just weren’t as good of a unit as blue - apart from their keeper and the dude that knows how to ball roll the talent gap was obvious.
