She was one of Merle's back-up singer even after she and Merle got divorced. LOL. Don't know if you know the guy who was hosting the show there. That was Glen Campbell. Amazing guitar player and fine singer as well. Lots of big hits you might have heard one place or another. Before he made it big he was a studio musician and for a while toured with the Beach Boys and played on a couple of their albums. Hope you have the day YOU deserve!! Oh and a quick P.S. PER HAGGARD, "It's just wonderful not to have to walk up and say, 'Pardon me, before I do this, I want to tell you that I'm an ex-convict.' You have to do that with any sort of legal transaction, with leaving the country, with anything of that nature. All those things went away when Ronald Reagan was kind enough to look at my case and give me a pardon."
He does great impressions. He did a lot of them. But he has his own style too. You should check out the other guys he did. Be careful with Buck, his Bakersfield sound is nice. But he did a photo shoot for Playgirl so I don’t know what you will find on a search of Google. 😂

There are videos of Johnny performing at San Quentin, but I was told that Merle wasn't in prison at that specific time of those recordings. Johnny performed there multiple times.

I believe this show is from the mid 70's. That was almost 50 years ago. Today, the stars want way too much money to appear on TV. We will never again see a variety show like this one, or Hee Haw, or Dean Martin ever again. It would cost too much to produce.
