Just changed mine, urethane. I took a 1/4” socket extension, and put it in my cordless drill. Stuck that in between the tire and wheel and slowly went around tire and wheel. I didn’t take either wheel off. Tire just popped on. Finished off going around once more. Very easy

Sorry to burst the claim but the Blue urethane replacements i bought at woodcrafters Disintegrated without use in the south east humidity of Florida. completely rotted in less than 5 years with very little use.
It's incredibly simple. Forget hot water, clamps, and silly tools, and leave the saw wheels on. Use strong "zip ties" to hold the tires. Tighten a zip tie between each spoke as you go around. Focus only on the next spoke and the next zip tie, not the entire wheel. A screwdriver or similar will get you there. Make sure the tire is well seated in the track as you go. By the time you get to the last spoke, you can slip the tire on with your fingers. And no need to even the tire tension afterwards. A metal blade running around at several hundred RPM's will quickly take care of that.
i just picked up a older craftsman 12 inch band saw model # 137.224120. fortunately i found the manual on line its a 90 inch blade i have to replace but there are no tires on this model. is it some thing i could or should add? its in great shape and seems easy to work on. but if i can add these to make it better im all for it?
Less than 3 minutes in I disagree. I tried blue urethane and they just fell apart. Cracked all over and where the ends were joined came apart. That was with very little use over a few year period. The original rubber tires lasted 30 years. Before I would use the urethane tires again I would use rubber from heavy innertube. Today I am stretching on new rubber tires I found on ebay.

We tried using water at 118*. Didn’t soften at all. Other people say to go over 120*. One of the manufacturers also said that. Just FYI.
My bandsaw is very old; the wheels are solid so I can't clam the tire to the wheel. Any ideas?

what glue for rubber? Industrial 1 second glue?
WOOD magazine is this 3m 847, 4799(in vid), 1300, 08031 or which? Confused....I need to order the correct one here in Europe.
Inca Euro 260 bandsaw, wheeldiameter is 10" (26cm). The numbers are various 3M adhesives. I can't find 4799 here (yet).
