Its hurtful yes I know I lost my father too and this is over 10 years ago.. but I still cry and wished he was here but he left me 😭 It is hard you can never replace him but you can learn too live with it, even if it is hard.
My dad was never part of my life. But every time I hear this song I think of my Grandpa. To me he was a father. He was always there for me and my mom. Great man and may he RIP ❤
My father wasn't exactly a good father, nor a good man. Now, my grandfather? He was the best man I've ever known. He taught me big and small things, took me to see a lot of places, and is thanks to him I like and pay attention to little details on every single day of my life, getting happiness from those small things. I owe him a lot, and I'll remember him for the rest of my life.
This song popped into my head at my father's memorial service. He had never heard it, but it just felt right. I've listened to it every day since. Love you, Dad. I'll do my best to make you proud.
It makes me sad to see so many in the comments either missing their dad or having not had good dads. My dad is an amazing man. When I have children, my goal is to be like my own dad and to inspire my kids like Kaylee's dad did.
My father was murdered when I was a baby. This song is one of the ones that make me tear up no matter what, every-time I hear it. Its beautiful, Lilting and makes me smile when i think of him.
GORGEOUS, and tugging at the old heartstrings:):) Kayley's on my list of favorite characters who are as imperfect as they come but their hearts are in the right place:) This girl's dream is to save lives and possibly die for her country, I'm sure as heck grateful for someone like that;)
My father was a pilot..he took me flying..I flew on my father's wings..it was amazing..we dipped down low over the sea in a small plane..I felt so safe..he's gone now 1 and a half years ago quite young..my grandfather was also more of a father to me and gave me a wonderful life..he was the Rock..and lived a long life..just miss the opportunities I could have had with my father in the future..but still lucky ..just discovered this song 🛩️💘
He caught a sickness and he couldn't get over it at the time there was no cure for it. THat what I was told I don't know what it was.@@WizardOfHumor1989
This song reminds me of how much pain and suffering some of us go through and I have carried everything on my shoulders since I was a little girl and it hurts to think of all that pain and it seems almost impossible that it all could happen so badly
Anyone ever build a story to a song that has nothing to do with it? Idk why but from listening to this I imagine that Tony Stark has a daughter, he passes away, she discovers that he'd been working on a suit for her to fly together, so she finishes it and 'flies on her father's wings'
When I was younger whenever I went in the water, like swimming or something, I'd throw my arms out wide like she did, because I loved her, and this movie so much!
I know it's not as extreme, but I was only a few months when my biological father separated from my mother. But this song reminds me of my bio father and how I long to meet him in person.
Even though he's still alive, this song reminds me of my papaw. He alway sick. He wasn't supposed to live past the age of two, but he did and he always tells me to live my dreams and live my life to the fullest. When he goes on, I don't know what I'll do ;)
That's a really great song! I think it would be a great fit for Michael Jackson's children. It might even fit Dahni Harrison and the Lennon brothers as well. In this it would definitely fit Tito Jackson's children greatly. Tito Jackson sadly passed away several days ago.
I still have my father with me, and he is the greatest person in my life. He teaches me so many things and I love him to pieces. I'm the only kid he has, so he's taught me everything from how to change a tire to how to take care of my animals. he believes in me so much and wants me to follow my dreams.
This is the only song, that tears my black heart in half. I often hide. using real emotions, from past Traumatic experiences i suffered. Such a true song... oh if she was real. Id ask to kiss her. Then excuse myself, for no mask/ muzzle on my face. *Just watches her smiling with a tear in my eye* she is free, she belongs to nobody.
@1Superman4Me my parents were divorced too but they got back together but it just feels weird with him living with us again. Hopefully this song will put me back at ease.
The "L" was not your only mess-up at all. You're is the conjunction of you and are, and that should have been used in the line "Your the only one who knew." You're not very good at grammar, apparently.
A good song wasted on a mediocre movie. It was supposed to be a dark, PG-13 film without songs, directed by the folks who did the Ferngully movie (not a great film, but not bad, either). But then they got replaced by some dick who turned it into a Disney knock-off in a pathetic attempt to compete with Disney's "Mulan". Everyone who worked on the film has since then venomously denounced it, and they've all agreed that the originally scripted film would have been so much better.
my dad passed away yesterday, and this was one of his favorite songs..
Almighty Smolest dude.....did you sing it at the funeral?
thats so sad, im sorry, does this song help you?
Sorry for your loss...
Its hurtful yes I know I lost my father too and this is over 10 years ago.. but I still cry and wished he was here but he left me 😭

My dad passed away last year of liver cancer
My dad was never part of my life. But every time I hear this song I think of my Grandpa. To me he was a father. He was always there for me and my mom. Great man and may he RIP ❤
That's exactly my story. Glad someone understand.

Zilkenian sounds exactly like my life. My dad wasn't there for me, but my grandfather was the light in my life. I miss him everyday.
I know very much what you mean there.
I'm crying from reading this 😭
oN My GRanDFaTHER's WinGs
I'm with you there. I lost my grandpa last year, but he taught me so much that I know now and not a day goes by that I don't think about him......
I don't care what anyone else says. I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH! :D

Fawn I hope the trauma from that has not held you back. I hope your life is blessed.
I am so very sorry!
Did they nab the son of a bitch?

My father passed away when I was 4. This song let's me know that someday I'll be able to fly with him with his wings. I miss you dad.
How did he die?
He caught a sickness and he couldn't get over it at the time there was no cure for it. THat what I was told I don't know what it was.@@WizardOfHumor1989
That flute music at the beginning gives me the shivers.
This song reminds me of how much pain and suffering some of us go through and I have carried everything on my shoulders since I was a little girl and it hurts to think of all that pain and it seems almost impossible that it all could happen so badly
i sing this when i vised my fathers grave.. miss you dad and i love you
i will do great things on my fathers wings
Hi and Im sorry.
it touches your heart and gives you a real feel of what she is feeling and how she is hurting inside.
I recently lost my father. This song comes into my head at the most random times. I can't help but cry.
How’s he die?

There is more irony to this comment that meets the eye. Just Saying
My mom died when I was 9. I know how you feel, even though I'm now 17. I love this song, even though it was my mom rather than my dad.
this is my favorite song from the movie... sad but beautiful.
this song always makes me want to go hug my dad
As I've got older, I've appreciated my father's sacrifices more and tried to lighten the burden. I'm trying to be the best daughter I can be, for him.
When I was younger whenever I went in the water, like swimming or something, I'd throw my arms out wide like she did, because I loved her, and this movie so much!
I just watched this movie twicce in one day thats how much i love!!!
i loved this one and looking through your eyes .

i A B S O L U T L Y L O V E It
my parents used to play this for me when i was younger. i always thought it was christian (by the lyrics it could actually be in a way)

Missing my daddy in heaven.
This is golden.
Rocky lost his mom and his dad in a big spider attack 🕷 and he has to live here with us

i love this song
My condolences to Kayley and her mother, Lady Juliana, for Sir Lionel.

It's not a flute, it's a tin whistle. And yeah it does that to me too!

I have the strangest urge to watch Kiki's Delivery Service after listening to this... what
i know!! only my best friend and I know about it out of our entire group.
It reminds me of Eliza Barry from Anne
What make you create this kind of lyrics?
I can imagine Laura/X-23 singing this song after her father's ( Logan/Wolverine) death.
You guys should listen to this song called "you can let go now daddy" its so so sad
@EdoubleM Thank U
She'd plan to her father by being the new Wolverine
Never seen the movie never figured out why never got the movie and really red on black can't see the words

As for me, I do not like Quest for Camelot. It's an awful film. But I really love this song.
this song brings back memories
lovely song
well for me its the best childhood movie, cause it shows that girls and even blind people could help people in great ways

A rip-off of Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Yeah, but you still have to admit that Kayley is beautiful.
Does this song have to do with someone’s father who died
It reminds me of Eliza Barry from Anne
