I highly respect what you guys are doing for the animation community as a whole.
I personally prefer these tight-budget indie animated shows over the large studio productions.
I also really love that your own shows were imagined by lone indie animation creators, like Liam Vickers (man he can pack a lot of lore into one 20-minute video), who you reached out to in hopes of letting their imaginations thrive!
I thank all of the Glitch Productions team and Vivienne Medrano for the amazing work you lot have put in to build these strong communities.

I just gotta say, Indie Animation and Indie productions have just been a HUGE source of inspiration for me over the past few months. Seeing people do these things and thinking, "Wow, a person made that! Hey, I'm a person, I can make something too!" With that new inspiration the creative flame within me has been reignited and I've gotten back to work on my own stories!
I am super excited for the future of Indie Animation and all the inspiration that comes with.

I like how the indie animation scene is sort of an inversion of the Hollywood/corporate animation business model. Where big-budget films sometimes are produced solely with the intent to market merchandise (think Star Wars/Marvel), in the indie scene the merch only exists to fund the production.
Yess, instead of “let’s create a show to help sell merch” it’s “let’s sell merch to help create a show”
And they’re freaking SMART at it too lol. Without giving away spoilers….one of Glitch’s 2 current shows had a character who got killed off and they created a plushy of them ahead of time and a commercial to go with it because they KNEW ppl would be attached to the character and want the plushy after watching that episode
I remember the distinction made on the TV Tropes wiki -- the merchandise is typically derived from the series canon, but if a series is "merchandise-driven", the merchandise *IS* the canon, with the "series" being derived from that. it doesn't necessarily mean the series will end badly -- it really depends on how much source material (and creative freedom) the writers are allowed for making the series.

I'm so happy of how much my baby has grown. I've been watching SMG4 since 2012, to think that it all started from memes and now look at all the amazing indie shows they've been working on. I really appreciate the culture of collaboration in the indie animation community. Unlike big studios, indie studios support each other instead of viewing one another as a competition. This collaborative approach is rarely seen in larger studios, except in the case of an acquisition, which is more about purchasing than helping.

I would definitely buy thousands of these merchandise because I watched a lot of these indie animations and shows, I started off with meta runner and now I'm going to watch every episode of murder drones, TADC, and lackadaisy
You're saving an entire indie creator and her entire team with assisting them in funding, by helping them with their merch sales
That is a serious heartful move, that is the definition of being humble to help those who aren't doing as well as you
I mean SMG4 and Glitch are MASSIVELY beloved channels with funding that is likely above if not highly surpassing the average, but Lackadaisy is running on fumes so doing this must be saving them SO much
