This has been the best information I have found on looking at the wiring of the mini, most are brushed over, or sales points for parts, keep it up mate!!! What I would like to see is, wiring break downs on each component, 3 wire alternator, one to battery hot, which one? one on energizing the system thru ignition, the third seems to do nothing?? the heater is there a relay to control amperage, no videos on a bench break down any where to bad , thank you for this, it helps me shorten the back to the battery lead instead of running a wire all the way back to the battery,
The sad part of old minis is people tend to butcher the wiring harness, bad crimps, you name it, look close and its everywhere, its fun to DYI it but the manuals cover many years, & include a dyno, so no alternator so conversion, & the butchering begins I have 4 very good manuals, originals, BMC mini service manuals, I just need it spelled out for the average dude for example on paper AlternatorStarterheater lights ignition its difficult to find these systems separately listed or testing the alternator on a bench, to know what post hooks to where

The alternator link cable is prone to failure. Obviously, it needs to be replaced with a fat cable :-)
It's unbelievable the bodges some people do!
Nice find
Did the A+ motor have a spin on filter??
Yes and the later 1997 on MPI minis have a spin on filter directly on the front of the block
Nice car
Thank you
