@@ItsJstNoahyeah but and that would’ve made 32 steps cause they got 2 wrong and missed 2 players aka half of the team so they missed out on another 4 steps
Thanks for NOT telling us the result in your title.Appreciated. Brad accepted "Kaye" as the answer as most people(probably including Mark don't know his first name and Brad ALWAYS says "More, Please!" ). He did not on this occasion and I never heard Brad rattle thru them so quickly either:)
Only Read After The Video: Wow wow wow! What a final that was! SEVEN opportunities to pushback, TWO executed, chaser needed 2. Those pushbacks were what made the difference. Interestingly, of the seven errors that Mark made, he made five of them in the second minute so his first minute was absolutely incredible. Extremely well played from both sides, but 26 absolutely deserves to win.
Yes. Mark started needed 1 answer per 5 seconds(26 in 120 seconds) but it takes 3.9 seconds to ask and answer a question and as soon as Mark made 2 mistakes,he knew he had to gamble by diving in.
Not sure if you seen the team's performance but they were extremely gungho because they all encouraged each other to go high, to which Craig did but unfortunately got caught within the first two questions. Martin sailed through his round easily despite his 5k cashbuilder. Both Vanessa and Sarah also could have gone high, which was what prompted Craig to do it. Everyone in the team scored 5 in their individual cashbuilders, except for Sarah, who scored 7. Final chase stats wise, Martin answered 15, Vanessa answered 2 while Sarah answered 6, totaling to 23 plus their 3 step headstart.
@@Harvey1211 Well in today's standards, I would consider it decent. But back then it's considered below par. But I'd say 6 or more is definitely ideal. This episode was in series 3 so sad to say this but yeah, considering Martin's knowledge, he did kinda underperformed in his cashbuilder, which could have been 6 had he got his last cashbuilder question in time. That being said, my ideal strategy will still stand. If I get 10 plus in the cashbuilder, I'll definitely stay where I am. However if I scored something like 3k or less or if my offer is something like a 50 plus I'll definitely go high
@@violin01 it’s funny you say all of this because I’ve never actually had a Cashbuilder ABOVE 5 to my knowledge. It’s a shame that you still haven’t been able to message me on Discord because it would’ve been nice if it worked. My strategy would be to always go high because I’d be a bit of a liability in the final so I’d take myself out to actually make the team stronger.

I’m confused as to what you mean by ‘suspicions’. There’s no foul play here. A lot of people are commenting on the fact that surnames were acceptable as correct answers to questions here but that was the standard in series 3, adjudicators thought ‘Well it’s close enough, we’ll give them it’ and that was for both the team and the chaser. You have to remember that the game has changed significantly in the last 14 years but it’s always been a fair game. We look at the show a decade on with the rules that are now imposed and how strict it is and because of what it is like today, people they favoured the chasers, it’s just simply that the rules have changed.
Bradley going really fast and allowing the chaser to give first name enswers which he doesn't allow with contestants remember he works for the TV company they don't want to hand loads of cash over
@@Harvey1211 EXACTLY. This is why you should look out for a female contestant in Seat 4, especially when Jenny is The Chaser, as Brad ALWAYS puts great pressure on them to take THe Minus Offer if there is plenty of money in the pot and Jenny ALWAYS leads or backs him up by insisting it is the "smart" move because of the extra point that the Team gets anyway, irrespective of which offer and, invariably, Seat 4 comes home with plenty of room to spare but the show has saved, say £15,000. Brad knows that most Men will get endless stick if they wuss out so knows most(not all) won't do it.

Brad says he essentially gets paid to go into work and play alongside the contestants and he’s always on their side, wanting them to win. He’s played alongside over 8,000 contestants in the last 14 years so he’s seen a lot of people who have too much pride and they go for the middle offer and then get caught one from home, he simply wants to remind people that the low offer is always an option. He’s not tempting them either way, just making sure they don’t make the wrong choice. It’s not a sexist thing either, it’s just that it’s always important to get as many people back in the final as possible so everybody should be considering the low offer. Sometimes people can be very good players but feel very nervous which is why they decide to go low, it’s what they need to do to feel comfortable and perform well.
id love to see a 30 step final chase it would make great history

Series 3 had different standards. They’ve become a lot stricter over time to the point where even a mispronunciation can cost you thousands.
