The sign on the wall says "Is All About Family and Friends Coming TOGETHER for a Casual Meal" DTM, you hit a home run !!! I hope that restaurant gets a whole lot of customers from your vlog. BTW, Steve wants me to remind you to, "EAT YOUR VEGTABLES !"
"Danny, eat your vegetables!" How many times did you hear that in your childhood? Another great video. Please keep them coming.
in my childhood I heard mostly " must eat white meat chicken "
The Banchans make or break the Korean Restaurant experience. Great tutorial and hostess. It was very informative.
"The Banchans make or break the Korean Restaurant experience" WOW... see? I never eaten at korean feeling that way! meanwhile, it took decades for me to find out!
I really liked this one and learned a lot. I'll be in Vegas Sun - Fri and we always have a meal or two somewhere down Spring Mountain. Such delicious food and a good number of places like this with great prices.
Spring mountain is great and so is the arts district
Hey Danny, you don't know what you are missing in these "SIDE DISHES".... they are very delicious and compliment the various meats and other Korean entrees! That spread looks delicious, I especially the liked the SEAFOOD PANCAKES! Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!!
What a fantastic panel!!!!!! You could not pick anyone better, Danny! Great video. What a lovely introduction to Korean cuisine.
Thank you are your friends & the owner and daughter. Great Review. Will be in Vegas soon will definitely stop by to give it a try 😊
: ) WOW ! WELL DONE by ALL of you ! THANKS for sharing and explaining : ) ALL the BEST and Cheers : )
By the way, Las Vegas will soon open an H-Mart (Korean supermarket) at 2620 S Decatur Blvd. (could be a topic for future videos). So Vegas residents can buy Korean foods, including premade ban-chan, like the fish cake (Eomuk Bokkeum) slices featured in a previous video. H-Mart also sells all the ingredients (pre-sliced raw meats, marinated meats, veggies, etc) to make Korean BBQ at home. Note: the "cow fingers" (Galbisal = rib meat) mentioned by the panel, is just beef cut from between the ribs. As always, great informative video!
I've been waiting over a year to go shoot video of hMart. I loved the ones in Seattle. Food courts are usually solid. Now vegas does have Greenland and Ranch99 for Asian goods. I usually go to Greenland and their food court is solid. Bamchan at GL isn't great though but next door is a banchan store called banchan which has excellent banchan
I'm from Oahu Hawaii and the first time I ate at a Korean restaurant back in the 80s was in Waianae mall on da westside of Oahu, it was da best I've eaten till present day. They just bought out three side dishes which was kimchee cabbage, kimchee daikon and steamed bokchoi. They also had the best soup I've ever tasted till present day, it was some kind of pork or chicken broth. I always bought a large container of that soup especially when your not feeling well it would hit da spot. One of the best chicken katsu ever, back then you had to cut it yourself. One thing I been noticing especially here in Hawaii is that the food doesn't taste as good like before. Our Manapua wagons was way better than now everything was Ono and you could tell they put effort into what they cooked. Damm our School food was way better too and I still crave for it . 🤣😋🤙🤙🤙🤙
Korean veggies and sauces are great. I live close to a large Korean community and I love the food- especially Korean Fried Chicken!
IMHO, if the banchan is “weak” the whole Korean bbq experience suffers.
I really appreciate how she explained everything.
I’m going there next time I’m in Las Vegas.
The tasting panel.... omg, I loved this video and the concept...thank you Danny, super informative....love the ideas and videos that highlight such great establishments.....
It looks like Toby, Cindy, Steve, and Mrs. Steve are in a criminal lineup 😂😂
I was lined up once! LOL
Thank you for the video! I love Korean banchan (side dishes) so much that I would buy and eat just the banchan from a Korean mom-and-pop market in Tacoma, WA. It would last for days and is so good (kimbap, kimchi cucumber, kimchi potatoes, squash, and pan fried pollack and Korean veggie pancake). So yummy!
One of your best videos.
Hi Danny looking forward to this episode. Banchan! 😊
Love this video ❤Learning every day! Danny, love the way you are, a true person, no pretending!
Enjoyed the video immensely. Las Vegas has very nice restaurants and this one seems to be no exception. Especially enjoyed the descriptions and presentations of the Korean side dishes by the Owner's daughter, Grace. The food looked so appetizing👏👏👏
The best day of the week is Friday and every other day "D.T.M." uploads videos for Las Vegas food reviews
I really like the banchan side dishes. They taste good and offer value other food places don't.
That panel is top notch DTM.
I like to watch the video if Steve on it he’s cool.
Great explanation of banchans! This was so interesting. I’ve only been to Korean bbq once so I’m unfamiliar with their dishes. Sue
I really enjoyed that video, thanks Danny.
Steve is everywhere!! 😊
I've had a lot of Korean food and BBQ but this looked really great and good quality !
I think this video is going to be your most popular
Top effort, well done on arranging this for us 👍
loved your vegetable side dish samplers people in your video.
I could go for all of that but the seafood pancake caught my eye.
The best!!
Aloha! What a fabulous experience!
Very informative! Thank you
Great video with great friends! 🇰🇷🍚🥢
When I lived there I made a Korean friend and she taught me about the different food. She made a type of seaweed kimchi that was fantastic.
Cow Fingers are great because it is nearly always marinated to ensure tenderness. For those that do no know what that cut is, it the meat that was taken from between rib bones from what you know as a Tomahawk Steak. Ever wondered where the meat of that cleaned Tomahawk bone handle?
It was great to hear the explanations of all the ban chan and the meats! Did this experience inspire you to try more ban chan other than Kim Chee?
All those side dishes or banchan as it is called, the more you get the more pricier your bill is because they are not cheap to stock up and prepare. Some restaurants dont even make them and get those from a banchan shop. The average Korean household usually have not more than 2 or 3 banchan dishes during a meal.
Love your Vegas friends. You have definitely made friends for life!
Outstanding Video As Usual 🇰🇷 🇰🇷 🇰🇷 🇰🇷 🇰🇷 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 Lot Of Variety Korean Cusine 😄 Thanks Danny 😊😅
This Video is great and funny all the veggie eaters in a row 😂
I like the vegetables also, you need to try the whole meal, to get the authentic taste.
Good video. Cow fingers or “finger meat” comes from the back ribs of a cow. Super delicious!
I gotta try this place out. Mr Tofu downstairs was excellent plus they have like 16 different banchan and all delicious. I put up a video of the banchan spread
My korean mil just mailed me a couple solid banchans yesterday lol. The honey dried squid. Yumm
going there when I visit in a few weekks
Exciting pancakes and vegetables.
WALK-INS WELCOME...
You sound like a mad scientist looking at the test subjects and saying "they're eating the bon chon, they're eating the bon chon!"
Danny I was hoping to see you eat those sides too especially the the radish wrap.
I really enjoyed this one as I am totally unfamiliar with Korean food.
I love banchan ❤
This one needed a bloopers or BTS clip at the end.
OMG!
Did you order any of those main dishes? Or did the owner just start bringing them out to you?
Wow! That was a lot of food.
My only experience with Korean food is making Tteokbokki at home.
We know Tobey & Cindy’s name. What’s Mrs Steve’s first name?
I'm curious... was the green vegetable ban chan, spinach or watercress? I always thought it was watercress.
I think she said boiled spinach... but maybe there are others that are watercress.. I dont know
What deserts do they have in Korea?
Traditional Korean meals don't have dessert. But separate pastries and sweets shops exist in Korea.
Interesting Video DTM. Personally, I stay away from anything pickled or salted as I cannot tolerate the high sodium. That said, I am sure the BanChan was delicious.....
Korean side dish, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Hawai'ian side dish . . . . aahhaaa, sometimes the best part!!! Oh, and rice!
In chinese food, there are no side dish... maybe just condiments like mustard and duck sauce...
Korean food is bomb!
Good job.
As a young person i hated seafood pancake. In my old age ive grown to like it
Nice to see peasant people interacting.
Steve knows Best!!
They are not free. They charged a higher price for your main dish so you simply have pre-paid for the sides.
Not free banchan and you can ask for more. A hidden part of price of your meal. You pay it to eat or not. Including tap water . Danny use word " FREE " a lot. LOL😂
you got cool Friends.
DTM might have to change his name to DTF (Danny The Foodie)
DTM - Danny The Meateater
❤❤❤👍👍👍
15:17 - "...this is getting to be way too much food". Danny, I'm disappointed in you; THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS 'TOO MUCH FOOD'!!
She was a good hostess
