I'm baffled by the insecurity of Argentina fans 😅 Dupont doesn't want to become a 7 great, he wants to help this team to reach olympic graal and develop his 15 code game. And he's doing quite well just after 1 week of the Champions cup final.
The Argentinians are primarily football fans and some behave with that level of unsportsmanship unfortunately. Inferiority complex or insecurity as you called it on top of that unfortunately.

Are we sure that last Australian pass vs GB wasn't forward. There's a line right there. I don't know what a forward pass is.

As there is inertia principle, it is always touchy to determine wether the pass is forward or not, so the rule the player must release the ball in a trajectory behind his shoulder "line" (imaginary line parallel to the try line). So for me there is indeed a forward pass.
It's not about the line, the ball can go forward while the pass is considered legal (because the rules take into account the movement of the ball in relation to the body of the passer)... However in this case it does seem like it's forward according to the rules as welll

Was thinking the same, the tackler never released him neither, is he supposed to do Jiu-jitsu submission to prevent him getting back up ? Seems unplayable in 1vs1 if they give so much leeway for isolated attacker to bounce back from an isolated defender

My understanding is that since the attacker lets go of the ball (which is very clear on some of the TMOs), then stands up, and then only retakes control of the ball - it is a legal move. But I might miss something, fortunately this is not what turns the tide of the game and the better team still won in the end 😊

He is a XV player! one of the greatest in that field and he is showing outstanding abilities in VII that's remarkable

And look at what he did against GBR… all that after playing at test level intensity a week ago, without playing 7 for 3 months. As for the World Cup argument, Mbappe won one before Messi, while Ronaldo never did. Who’s the best though ? All those World Cup winning southern players who went and play in Europe were good, but none had the impact that Dupont has in champions cup. And I’m talking about DC, Etzebeth, Faf, Kolbe, Nonu… actually, Wilkinson had a far greater impact than DC in that competition. It shows you how important a team is for a player to shine. So the WC argument to be the greatest is laughable. AB didn’t need DC in 2011, he was injured for all the knockouts. It shows how dominant that AB team was
