Sorry to report but I misspoke. I speed tested against the Roku 2019 model 4670x. Thanks viewers for catching that! I replaced my unit on this TV in 2022. Had a old man Dave brain fart.
Thank you for the video I think 2024 Santa should bring you a nice new full mesh wifi system to get those areas in your house that need a burst of faster internet speeds
I just bought one. I had to return it because controller would not charge. And Roku support had no idea what was wrong. Just told me to take it back. There’s no apology for performance and quality.. I was and still, I am quite surprised.
I have this exact Roku Device Hooked to Comcast cable in my bedroom. I bought the Roku two years ago and had no use for it until I got Comcast Cable. It was literally behind my TV cabinet for over two years covered in dust lol.
I don't understand any of this stuff. Does the ethernet cable go into the player, and then the player gets attached to the tv. I'm thinking of going Ethernet instead of wifi, that's why I ask. Also, can you recommend a channel here on youtube that teaches basics like speed, ports, etc.?
The Achilles heal with this device is the inability to decouple the remote from controlling the tv. I have read and so many have had mixed success with all kinds of hacks and tricks. Come on Roku fix this issue!! I have one of these nd they are great but the one caveat.
My remote has been charging, new right out of the box before setting up the box itself or pairing first, for over 12 hours and it still keeps blinking??!!!!! Why won't it complete charging??!! Roku states it takes 5.5 hours to do a full charge.
@@davewelike , There's a Roku support? All I've ever seen is a chat page of Roku users, which I apparently am banned from, but have NO idea why, since I looked something up once, and never wrote anything there.
I don’t understand why some people are making a deal out of this spec. You don’t need that kindof speed when you look at how much data streaming services use. Netflix at 4K uses maybe 25mbps. So even with 100mbps Ethernet, you’re more than covered.
@ksaboda Because 1 it's 2024 & 2 if people watch 4K Blu ray remuxes, those movies have video peaks that exceed 100mbps & most people these days pay for internet speeds higher than that.

Great video for set-up.
Thanks!
That flatter Roku Ultra is NOT the 2022 model. That is an older model than the 2022.
Yes I screwed up. It's the 2019 model. Thanks for catching that!
@davewelike, you didn't change the year on your title
What kind of cpu does it have and how much memory does it have?
What’s the internal storage capacity? There’s no way to expand it?

I hate the recharge remotes. I'd rather have to replace batteries.
Holy Moly 169 channels.
What is that button on the left side of the remote shown at approx. 4:17 ?
It allows the remote to always be listening for voice commands by you saying "Hey Roku" instead of having to push the microphone button.
What is the picture/sound quality versus an Xbox Series X...because there is a big difference between the Xbox and the Bravia 9 apps.
Is there a 2024 ultra LT?

Yes you can connect to the internet via wifi or ethernet. The HDMI cord goes into the TV.

@@GeorgieTVRus that doesn't come with this remote. You need to use wireless headphones.
Are the apps the same? A few people wrote reviews saying they had fewer or no apps, but that did not seem right.
