Questions 1) Do you block face up or face down? 2) Do you ever use embroidery sticky stabilizer to hold the pleats in place? 3) Do you ever spray starch before pleating?Thank you so very much for your demo and clear instructions.
when you are pulling the fabric through the pleater are you doing that with the right side up? also I am working on a size 6 mo. & wonder if I can block it on the ironing board for now ( I plan to geta blocking board soon )

I thought this might be a two week project and that I would be done by now. I need a shape and press board ASAP, and by mail it will take a couple of weeks. So, I was wondering if, like Rosie, I could also get a downloadable template of the blocking pattern and a suggestion of smocking plates for a beginner. Well you/ can you help me out?

I am interested in knowing how you keep your blocking board clean. It seems that spraying starch on it over time will build up a residue.
