Thank you for sharing these tips! I just became a grandma to a beautiful girl and am trying to regain some skills I haven’t used in 20+ years. I am delighted my daughter is slightly obsessed with the old fashioned style for children. I bought a nice used pleater like yours and have struggled with it. Your vids are so helpful! It never occurred to me to work from the feeding side! It is so obviously easier, I feel kind of dumb 🤷🏻♀️. Also, your instructions for testing needles is wonderful. There are not many resources available for pleating so this information is so much appreciated. I can’t wait to start a new project with my new knowledge.
Thanks so much. I just got a second-hand pleater and thought I couldn't use it without a dowel. This helps!
Glad to be of help!
