Do you guys remember deleted scene when he made them test only about him like ,, what is Lockhart's favourite colour" (Guys I now know it was in the books this comment is 9 months old I've already read books 2 times since then)
@@gerstein03 I don't think so because in the book just before they 'duelled', Ron said "wouldn't it be good if they finished each other off". I think it's fair to say that Harry and Ron hated them both equally at that moment in time.
At least Lockhart actually TRIED to teach, albeit very badly. But Umbridge just wanted them to read from a textbook and shut down anyone who had questions.
“Such a lovely place, really.” Lockhart implied, while closely examining a nearby stone. “Do you live here?” He curiously added. “No.” Ronald calmly answered, while gently placing the rock to Lockhart’s head, as Lockhart softly fell into a never-ending sleep.
@Alexandra Viro it's because the books are written from Harry's perspective: his thoughts, likes , dislikes, etc. So the point of view is flawed from the start . None of the boys liked Lockhart because, yea, he was good looking and all girls were crazy about him. There's nothing clever in Harry's and Ron's attitude at first, just masculine jealousy. As for the girls, they were equally blind due to, probably, their first infatuation. You must admit, he is charming in his own stupid, pompous way. In the end, though, Harry 's opinion about Lockhart proved to be the right one.
