- I hope you enjoy this video and learn something from it.
I don't think I made any mistakes in this restoration but if I did, please let me know in the comments. Don't run tools without the screws holding the shell together like I did to test it, it's very dangerous especially with a brushless motor.

Thank you so much for that video! I didn't find the right place for that same little piece of metal and the exploded diagram I found on the internet was really misleading. A friend of mine found the machine in the trash and it didn't work properly, so I replaced the rotor. It still sounds funny though. Maybe I have to take it apart again to put in more grease, i didn't use nearly as much as you did.
Thanks for watching! More grease would probably work. Another thing to check is that every thing is aligned properly. I once put a drill back together and it sounded horrible, then I realized that the spindle wasn’t properly engaged in the gear. This was on a corded drill but I imagine that something similar might happen to a cordless too.
@@toolreviewsandrestorations The grease did the trick, the drill runs smoothly again - just a quiet little bwwwww instead of BrRrRrRrRrRrR! One part of the gearset is a bit worn down, but I think it might last for another few years. It's really weird what people throw away without even trying to repair it - but in this case, good for me :-)
Most of the second hand, supposedly worn out tools I’ve bought have been almost new inside when I take them apart. I guess most people just prefer to have the “latest and greatest” than fix the old one.
Hello there from Montreal Canada 🇨🇦 nice work thank you for sharing 😃🍺👊🇨🇦
Thank you!
Veri nice ❤
Nice old makita drill this model very powerfull in 12vdc 50 nm of torque!
Thank you for watching! It is a very strong drill and very well made!
Made in China.CE indicate China Electric
What’s made in China? It says made in the US on the name plate of the drill. CE means that it certified for sale in Europe as far as I know. Thank you for watching
