How to Build a Simple Goat Stanchion for Free| Don’t Make this One Mistake

We built a goat stand out of repurposed wood from an old dock that was destroyed by a hurricane. We did have to pull out many old nails but that is a small price to pay to be able to use free wood especially in the year 2021. Join us as our Grandfather tells us how he took the normal dimensions of a goat stand and made his own version of a goat stand using only free boards that were given to us from our few generous men. The goat stand ended up being 22x44. The boards were not the exact dimension that were called for in the plans but he used what he had and constructed our goat stand for free!!!! This sturdy goat stand was perfect for our large Lamacha goat. We only had a few revisions to make but it turned out perfect. The hole where the goat puts her head was to large so we just simply added a couple boards to narrow the dimensions to keep the goat secure while we milk her.
