Proskomide

This service is the preparation of the bread and wine for the Greek Orthodox Divine Liturgy. It takes place in a small altar to the left of the main altar. Parishioners bring the bread and wine that are then prepared for the consecration by the priest in this service. It takes place during the Orthros service which precedes the Divine Liturgy.
