しかし現実をそのまま見る事ができるまともな者は子供のうちに死んだ。あるいはこれからの子供が死ぬ。

i believe it means heaven as in school children meant to be going to a greater place (as in going to college and having a good future, from studying and doing well), but later on in the song they grow older. they get good grades but now what? theyre still worthless (most likely considered worthless by their family.. and have heard that so many times they believe it themselves). at the end of the song they say they are “sleeping” with the cat and their destinations are now unknown. (aka as in they k** themselves from the stress of everything that has happened. when you are dead no one knows where you are, you’re unknown like the other dead children. its common for su*cidal people to think no one would miss them, and their feelings are unknown to the world. but specifically in this context, unknown probably means your soul is not in the world anymore once you die.)

I listened to this song and ..god how depressing this song is. watch me write this whole theory with no regret (lol) my theory is that: when they start the song it goes" at the dining table full of no one, nonono one the cat is talking, like every other day, with ghosts of children who cant go anywhere" when they say "no one " when there is obviously ghost children but, they are reffered as nobody because nobody notices them. After that it says "who cant go anywhere" saying that they cant find their home so they stay with the cat that lets them pet him.
the second verse is " why wont any of the adults die,could it be because theyre so smart?" it means that adults are always reffered as "wise" and the "know-it-alls" so they have the "guide to life"as they say. then it says"that they dont have, dont have to go to school?" in this verse thyre saying that adults act like theyve never experienced school, what I mean by this is that for these kids the pressure that they take from theyre parents and so-called "adults" and sometimes by bullying is way too much to bear with ,mostly for children .the line where it says "stupid,good-for-nothing children" they are calling themselves that way because the adults around tehm say it so much that it feels like its their name .
the verse that goes " pet it pet it pet it , cuddle with it forever and always" in my opinion it means that they feel comforted for once and want to feel like this forever and ever. not like how the adults were treating them."it's like a group of children leaving school together, and going to heaven 1,2" this part is the sad part for me because they are saying : a lot of kids are suic!ding, thinking that theyre pain will be over.

I think it has a connection with "Hole-Dwelling"... It's just a theory. First of all, the covers are similar. Plus, the song says the children can't go anywhere, because they don't belong/fit anywhere, and in Hole-Dwelling it says "We can't be in that world, neither can we be in this world". The song may be a continuation of Hole-Dwelling, or maybe Hole-Dwelling is the continuation.

砂漠の一室で独りで食べる食卓を連想させた。その端に猫がずっとギョロリと見つめてくるような錯覚を覚えた。覚えたと思ったら、食器は揺れ動く。なのに誰もそれを不気味と感じない。それがさも当たり前であるように。猫しかいない部屋なのに゛誰も゛というのは変か。ただそれだけがこの空間を作り上げているように感じる。最後に、「行方不明」というところで、猫すら消えた一室に人が入ってくるが誰もいないからその入ってきた人が安心して、部屋を去る。叫び声のない叫びのように感じる。私にはこの音楽はそんなふうに感じる。なんか360°カメラで撮影されてるように感じるのは何故だろう。
