someone is def upping the music !!! woo woo woo editors !!! :) : :)
This excavator series has been an eye opener. I don't think anyone knows what you guys actually go through. This series tells 85% of your story. I have loved big equipment since I was a kid. Drove my first tractor (to plant corn) when I was 11 years old. I was hooked. I got bored around the age of 16, so I decided to race cars in what we called 'Powder-buff Derby's'. By 18 I was racing cars on the street. A lot of stuff during and after. But now I look back and remember only the tractor. Thanks for putting this story together. (by the by, I'm 74 now)
74 years young 💪
@@colestowing8695 Of course young. I would never say old, especially referring to myself, or any person for that matter. People are experienced. Objects are old.
@@vernadevney3089 I dunno, I'm nowhere near 74 and I feel pretty old sometimes. I often say if I'd known I was gonna survive this long I would've taken better care of myself😁
@@colestowing8695 Honey, the only thing anyone needs to take care of is their soul. God determines how long you stay alive. Not your health or fate or the roll of the dice.

I can't believe you just found Alan at the top of a mountain hand building a fortress, and he's become such an integral part of the team. His supervising and signaling of the front loader around the 19 minute mark is one of the many leadership attributes he brings to these videos that deserve more focus than they get.
I could see Alan driving that bulldozer all over his mountain regrading his road and having a lot of fun.
I was thinking it must be hard for Allen to see equipment getting scrapped
Alan doesn't want his road re graded he dosent want it messed with he has said
Cero Gordo🤔
@@TheKk0900 Exactly. A mountain top fortress shouldn't be too easy to access. That defeats the purpose of building where he has.
@@TheKk0900 no but at the top it could be useful.
Alan is what I call TH-cam gold, his estranged way of looking and doing things is outside the box! Love it
Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into cleaning up the landscape, it’s my backyard too and I appreciate it. I love your plan to make any old trucks you come across available to your viewers for a week. Considering the remote location of this job, the physical cost of sleeping in below freezing conditions. The limitation on time due a freezing forecast on the horizon and the very real danger of coming down icy mountain roads, add to that overtime pay. Taking just these issues into account.. I’d say your decision to scrap those trucks was perfectly logical and sound.
It’s impressive all the equipment y’all are able to operate (even Dave in a helicopter) not just a for tv crew truly know your trades.
Now the ol’ D7 definitely earned its right to survive. What a beast.
Daisy Etta is dangerous!
The 7f with the 6 cylinder was experimental 7 E was 4 cylinder with a different torque converter 7g.was similar a guy told me he thought the E was better and tougher just lower RPM
Some called it the bastard dozer too big for small jobs and too small for big jobs
The old 7s didn't wear the undercarrage like the new reved up versions crummers
Definitely would love to see more big iron episodes
Absolutely! But I'm really looking forward to some play time - aka "SNOWED IN" EPISODES! These brilliant boys work so hard (even if they have a lark while they're doing it) - but they play even harder, and it's so much fun to watch them do it. That Raptor is incredible - I would kill for an opportunity at those controls... I could even play in the snow-plough all day!
Yep ... Winter is coming!
I love that HeavyDSparks seems to have no limit to his enterprising spirit. And along with his crew and friends they’ll take on anything land, air, or water. The videos are authentic and honest too; we see the guys struggling to execute the mission and coping with setbacks and temporary failures…and HeavyD even informs us of the financial results, win or lose. I don’t know why the TV production companies don’t produce these on cable. Maybe that’s HeavyDSparks choice.
TV stars are now building their own TH-cam channels... says all that needs to be said about that.
I love watching you guys work and solve problems together and still have fun. I started watching after you hooked up with AWP on a couple of cases. Keep up the good work you do.
Great set of videos everyone, really nice seeing you all doing things that you love doing.
one of my favorite things about running machinery is getting to run an old relic every once in a while, that old D7 is too cool, seeing it work after sitting for so long is awesome, i love seeing 30+ year old machines still able to move dirt and make money, you guys are awesome! this series is definetly my favorite from you guys so far, please keep doing what youre doing, always look forward to seeing your next adventure!
It's sad that the logistik of those really heavyweight machines is too expensive because they would make a lot of work much faster! Of course, they cost in fuel but the employer has much less time to get paid for so when they are worth getting is a tricky question but I must say that I kind of love them...
that old D7 is really earning her keep, lot of life in the old girl it seems, great series so far guys, and its cool watching y'all get that old equipment down the mountain, stay safe out there
Ohh yeah, I just loved how they thought, that the loader could easily take over.. but nop, still needed the dozer help to get the excavator moving
The fact that that dozer still ran and was able to move the excavator at the 26:00 mark because the new loader couldn't is insane
It’s really not. a bull dozer has so much more traction than a loader considering the surface area that the tracks provide and it has a more powerful engine for ramming dirt out-of-the-way and all that jazz
Heavy D you Desiel Dave and your crew are good people. Prayers to the family. My hat is off to you and the crew you assembled.
It's nice to have a wizard on these big jobs 🧙♂👍
Best idea, give old vehicles a shot at new life! You guys continue to rock!
Alan seems to know loads of tricks to make things work. He is certainly a jack of all trades and an incredibly hard worker. I have a lot of respect for him. 😁
Something I use that works on cold equipment is to hook the exhaust from a running machine to the exhaust of the dead one , let it run for an hour or two and it will warm the entire engine up . Makes it real easy to start a frozen one.
it's so satisfying to see the guys work and make things come together always.. no matter what difficulties arise they always figure a way out.
Heavy, If you get a electric over hydraulics porta power unit you can plumb it into the main hydraulic valve body and work all hydraulic functions, they will be slow, but they will work. You will need to adapt a larger reservoir for hydraulic fluid than what comes on the porta power unit to keep it full or prevent overflow.
That Mack truck was definitely a real workhorse in it's day! I would love to see that truck brought back to life! I really enjoy watching these big iron recovery episodes. Keep up the great work that you guys all do we truly enjoy them.👍
Paul from fab rats will definitely get that mack on the road.. HeavyD speak to paul n robby layton about some of those trucks/vehicles
I enjoy your adventures with your friends!!! Thank you for all you d as a team for people!💕🙏
I have seen you and your crew helping AWP and your neighbor who had the fire. You are a kind person that I respect so much. Thank you for all you do! And your crew as well! I wish there was something I could do for you. At 75 and medium health but I did ask God to bless you and your crew, watch over you and keep you safe! Thank you so much!
I loved Alan's happy gilmore reference! Y'all lucked up meeting Alan! I am so stoked that he is part of the channel!
Your videos are the best way to pass time on this deployment. Thanks for the content!
Deployment? with Internet? lol...so harsh.
Once again you and your team show how big your hearts are to use all your available resources to help out a family you don’t even know and to give them the support and closure they do much deserve! You guys are heroes in my book! Great video and views! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
I somehow missed the between episodes, (you know, life gets in the way when you're having fun watching HeavyD videos, lol) but this one made up for it. Absolutely mesmerizing the way, you guys' work! Can hardly wait for the next video!
Greetings from Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. I grew up on a farm near Mosselbaai, Western Cape, RSA. It breaks my heart to see how such beautiful machinery is just being left in the open so that nature and the elements slowly brakes it down. Like my late father did, I also enjoy to watch these machines operates. I really enjoy your programs and I'm also more fond of the old machines than the modern ones because they are easier to maintain than the modern machines.
This is gnarly full of Gnarls you guys are awesome
These videos NEVER get old!!!!!!!!
Thanks fellas 👍👍
Great series guys, I could watch these old construction recoverys all day! keep'em coming. 🔥🔥
Han great guess on how long it will take. Hope you guys did not get too cold and glade you did it safe. The crew is fantastic on working together Wish I could have been their to help keep up the great work
That lil skit for the game had me rolling lol. Diesel dave's like you mean to tell me you've been up here playing games?! Big man had this look on his face like easy there gimly...sshhhhh 😂
Heavy D! You and your team are just amazing! Hardest working crew on TH-cam and keep up the great work!!
You guys are killing it with these videos, high quality cameras, excellent content, great editing, and y'all are some hard working men, thanks, great entertainment👏👏👏🍅🍅🍅
best part of your videos ..." will it start" all the work you guys do and a 20 year old engine starts up. love it ...
What a crew!! Allen is amazing with his knowledge...you all are..and your a great team!! Cleaning up all this huge heavy scrap machinery...is great!!
Such a tiny guy(Hans) getting outta that F550... hahaha, at least he brought a positive attitude...!?!
Great video guys so fun to see you guys work( no give up ) with HeavyDSparks what a challenge great job thanks
Thanks for another great vlog in this recovery series. I like how you are calling out people making comments on the old trucks. I too think it is sad to see history like that go for scrap, but unfortunately when things are that gone that is the way it goes. Love all your recovery content.
That was actually kinda pathetic to watch. He just looked like an ass, and looks like he only cares about the money side of it.
That dozer was the MVP of this show 😅 She's a keeper
Nice one dude, well done. That came down so much easier than the first one! Really enjoying this series, it's worth a subscription, so I look forward to seeing what else you guys get up to!
14:15
The little Dozer that could 💪
Could definitely see that Mack getting restored and used a recovery truck of some sort. Can't say too much for the condition of it from the few clips. Keep up these great videos y'all!
School teachers with their books and speech couldn't have did it
Wisdom of dirt moving will never be found in a classroom
The 10x10 HEMTT is always a joy to watch. That thing is an amazing piece of hardware. Always love to see you guys bring it out on a job!
Never knew I wanted a piece of equipment I have no real use for until these videos. That thing is just so cool.
Loved how at the end they were flying with it on the dirt track, literally what it was built for
That Mack bull dog on the hood is probably worth more then the hole truck. Really surprised it was still there. Great job enjoy your content.
Mounted one I found at a yard sale to a block of wood and gave it to my buddy owns bulldogs, he loves it!
They all work for the decepticons......collecting and destroying autobots........😂😂
You all are great! It's all the stuff I ever dreamed of doing in my life. Still trying, I don't ever give up! Patience.
No seriously you all give me inspiration. I love what you all do! Wish I could help being part of what you all do. My true passion in life is to help everyone that needs it.
Love Diesel Dave’s energy. He’s always so positive.
I was hoping that thing would start after the gas bombs. Watching Alan grab his ear after the first go around had me like yup I’ve been there before. 😂
I always look forward to your videos, I love the can do attitude everyone has, I've doon stuff like that before and it's not easy work on old equipment in the freezing cold. Keep up the great work.
What wass that..!!! 3:06 😂🤣.. I LOVE THAT GUY.. SO FUNNY..always funny
I love watching you guys hauling all the big equipment. Great camera work by the way.
Awesome the recoveries and things u do. Love all ur podcasts.
Heavy D, just wanted to let you know. I like before 5 seconds into the video just because I know if it's your video then it's gonna be awesome. Keep the vids coming. I can't get enough. God bless and be safe.
I love watching all your videos. The things you do to help people in need is awesome. Keep up the good work.
I’ve got to say you, Diesel And every one of your hard working guys are all the greatest & most hardworking crew on Utube without any possibility of debate. Plus may I be so bold to add one of the very few who are genuinely nice honest people, nothing phony, hokey or bogus about them. I’m glad they made the jump from Discovery. This is one of the few channels worth watching and waiting for each week (Or day),
Just a big fan from NYS !
Good on ya Dave for suggesting those haters who bashed ya for crashing/crushing those old rigs "put yer money where yer mouths are",, some of us have stories of going through a mess to 'save' an old piece of history (a 1944 Ford business coupe I tried, and failed) only to learn what it takes and recognize there was NO WAY the rust destroyed Ford I found in the mountains was worth the costs AFTER I had wrestled it onto a trailer and brought it back to town.
This channel went from lunch break video for me to an after dinner channel cuz I have to watch it ALL
Finding Alan was a Godsend
You guys have the coolest job. Love the content. If you ever do a recovery in montana, I'd love to help out! There's a giant Michigan loader below the mine where I work thats been in the trees as long as I can remember. Still has air in the tires. It's possible that the old boy that owns it might want it off the property! Anyways. Love the videos guys! Keep up the great content
Lets talk Something Huge For You
Not at all into game apps, but thumbs up for this 4 part (so far) series. Very interesting to see what's involved in extricating large machinery from remote spots.
Hey Dave, those ear mufflers are much more efficient in reducing the noise if wore directly over skin. The hoodie and cap for sure are reducing the ability to protect your hearing.
Great job guys just wanted to thank you for cleaning the environment keep the video coming
I feel like I’m going to get a fine from OSHA just for watching this. 😂

like yup, almost, annnnnnnnd its gone
That Dozer is awesomee, Can't wait to see that thing tuned up
alan is by far my fav character how much pot does he smoke lol
I am one who loves old work trucks be whatever they are. I don't have money to buy any of them, but I do like your effort to offer people the chance to put thier money where thier mouth is. You are such an outstanding guy. You always amaze me with your vlogs. Keep being a wonderful human!!👍
You should do a pair up with grind hard, plumbing, Co
Mini brodozer
Grind hard is a little more genuine then Dave Dave still hasn’t sent out the 2nd lottery tickets for his raptor giveaways I’m noticing a trend with this guy.
Mini anything with too much horsepower. Giant everything with not enough horsepower. I think they'll be a good collab
Facts I'd love this!
Grind Hard and Cleetus McFarland need to get together and make something ridiculously fast
Love you videos keep me entertained for hours thanks for everything you do
Heard the shot from the hunting ad before I knew it was for the ad and it stopped me in my tracks especially when they said the gunshot came from the office. As a Veteran I thought the worst but obviously realized it was for the ad. Keep making the videos gents! I’m new to your stuff but have enjoyed them and also laughed my ass off in most! 😂😂
Doing a bunch of stuff in my aprt today and it's fun and relaxing to have the big iron videos going. Cool music. Heavy machinery sounds. Dave's voice telling about what's happening. And beautiful scenery.
Makes the day better.
A lot of effort put into scrap machines. You guys really are amazing heroes!
Sure thing scammer

I absolutely love watching this channel but holy shit some of the massive safety or I should say lack of safety overall when I see the heavyD team working is I know what happens when a large diameter steal cable that snaps due to the extremely high tension does to a human body. I wish they would cover those wires/cables with the correct safety blankets and have his team no wear near the potential breaking radius of whatever length of wire/cable is.
Keep safe men and I look forward to future projects and adventures
Guys EAR protection. I met my ex in the military he has hearing loss just from the range. Forgot the ear protection one time. I saw you flinching from that explosion right next to your ears. Take care of yourselves. God bless.

Some really dangerous work you guys do. Stay safe out there.

Heavy D you look like you were riding a wild Bronco keep safe and the rubber side down.
Loved the little montage of the descent with the house music! More of those please editors!
The scene of the loader and dozer “assisting” the 235 around the quarry reminds me of 2 cornerbacks trying to get a lineman off the field after getting his bell rung…😆😆
Cheers! 🖖😎👍
Not as Sketchy as the last one for sure . Live and learn ! Nice Video . Thanks for sharing !
The music and sound in these videos is really top notch. The "down the hill" shots combined with the unusual "jazz" then modern funk and then the Mack Truck symphony. Really, really cool. I hope the person who did the audio for this reads this comment. Take a bow whoever you are!
How come pretty much every scene with Jim he’s eating?😂😂
Great video as always guys 👍👍🏴🏴

Down to earth hard work. This really shows the bread and butter of your job. It's not all fun and games. Great to watch.
