Was that indeed a sunken 12 foot jon boat? It looked more to me like a small dingy, with it's pointed bow. I too question if an outline i saw on my Raymarine 7HV is a sunken 12 foot cartop boat i lost in 1968 near Put-in-Bay Ohio. I see a pointed bow and the general shape of a small cartop boat, perhaps 12 feet long. I would need to go looking for it again buying an underwater tethered camera, if the water would have enough clarity. So im wondering if maybe you have done that looking for that small sunken boat.
No, but I guess I could go back there and scan the bottom and look for the boat with an underwater camera which I do have. We have in the upriver chain bridge which the water current was strong and about 10 years ago I saw a guy flipped his 12 or 14’ Jon boat with an outboard in the back and sunk his boat. He was picked up by Coast Guard about half an hour later after he swam to the shore. Poor guy lost everything in the boat.

U can adjust sensitivity to weed out the small fish so you can see only the big catfish and striped bass
