Great tips. About scroll speed, I used Lowrance before and the default 100% scroll speed was built for 10knots. So for trolling (at 2knots) you decrease the scroll speed down to 20% (2knots = 1/5)
WoW.. I bought my Element last year but.. When i decide to go out for a ride with my boat and do some fishing.. Do i actually have time left to catch fish?? You are giving so much (useful) information but it seems to me that i will probably loose 2 whole days of time on the water, spending ALL my efforts in order to configure all the settings on this device.. 😪

Why does my Element 9 sometimes black out and seems to reset itself when I'm using the 2d sonar and down vision? Like it doesn't display a constant image. Every so often it will be displaying data and then all of a sudden it'll black out. It probably has to do with a setting and I would like to figure it out without having to do a factory reset. It does this when I'm moving around and also while standing still on my kayak.
Hi I wonder if you can help? I just bought the element 12hv I can’t seem to fine a vector come heading line? does it have one? Second I have my card in transducer in and working so with the map selected I see the map clearly but when I switch to map and Fishfinder, Fishfinder is good but don’t see the map,just blue screen with the boat and my track?. Can you help me please Thanks
Tried following your video specifically to set up my COG however, I was unable to do so on my Element 9 inch. When I push the OK button, I get a different pop up screen than the one which shows on your video and it does not show the COG option.
It's really not complicated. With any product you should spend some time learning it at first and once you do, you can set it and forget it pretty much.

The Element doesn’t support that functionality to my knowledge which is a big misstep from Raymarine. The Axiom does via their app.

That is very odd. Not sure why that would be without seeing what you're seeing on the unit.

yeah it is although for deep stuff you might want the 1kz Axiom for those super deep depths. Maybe look into that as well
