Actually, you can change the view by pressing TAB on keyboard few times until you will get the higher view (chase camera) and you will see it clearly from far away.

If you could give feedback to the developers (as it's an early access), tell them the Taxi number plates should be White on Green (oppose to Black/Green in White for regular cars and Black in Yellow for regular kei cars)
