Comparisons to others are really an awful way to talk about an artist. I've seen shoddy solo's by Jaco and Wooten. Mohini Dey is obviously investigative and playful, and her solo journey belongs to her. It's not her job to pull a listener 'in'. It's the listener's job to enter and listen.
She started playing bass at 3 and never stops. I think she has 50mm thick callus on her right thumb finger. And pain was not a big deal to her as well haha.. Amazing girl indeed!

Some people watch this as if they're in 4th grade and forced to watch a play. Fact is, Mohini is talented and is simply showing an array of things she can do on the bass. Little to no doubt she can satisfy any music genre and in this video, she's simply saying, yeah, I'm a badass bassist.
Yes she is very attractive and good looking to the point of distraction but she is still a very talented player. She has 2 God given gifts, beauty🧞 and musical ability.🎸 Exceptional in both departments. All of the critics sound as if they have already attained "Nirvana". She still has plenty of time to grow. The internet doesn't seem to understand that there's a difference between honest criticism and being a "hater". Everyone's favorite argument seems to be, "Well YOU can't do it, so you have no right to say anything." I'm sure those very people criticise all kinds of stuff. Movies, music, tv shows, comedy - stuff that THEY can't do either. But when someone criticizes what THEY love, they get butthurt and throw that ridiculous argument out like it holds any water.
