The Samsung watch 6 should lose points for forcing you to use a Samsung phone to take full advantage of its features. That was the single greatest reason why I did not buy it and went with the TicWatch Pro 5. You are clearly favoring the Samsung watch.
Thank god you said it, cause I was waiting for the point reduction to what otherwise was a good review, but it never came. Samsung benefits from a lot of people having their phones, so don't realise some of us won't get featured because they are effectively behind a pay wall.. The one plus watch 2 like the others is unrestricted, so to me is the winner for any non Samsung phone user.
@@kurth5286 Yep. Plus when Google finally drop the highly requested bigger watch face later this year they will eventually dominate the smart watch Android market. I expect the same to happen with their Pixel phones too. I once only bought Samsung phones and eventually switched to the Pixel Pro.
The only difference between the Snapdragon W5 and the W5+ is that the Plus version also has a dedicated secondary ultra-low power processor for battery saving purposes. However, Oneplus has opted to implement its own ultra-low power processor (BE7200) instead, which is much better optimised than what we've seen so far in smartwatches with the W5+ Gen 1, which is a plus for me.
How about points off for being the highest cost watch? You can't fairly compare a watch that is less than half the cost of the highest cost watch. Of course, the highest cost watch is going to have more features, sensors, and styling.
The Ticwatch has a built-in compass therefore the Ticwatch also has a built-in geomagnetic sensor. Also as far as I know the Ticwatch does not support the Google assistant.
Lots of misinformation in this video, 👎 from me. Buggest one i noticed is that the Ticwatch Pro 5 does NOT have the Google Assistant which is a huge letdown.
Many of the benefits of the Watch 6 gets destroyed to nothing when you don't use a Samsung Phone together with it, big L for Samsung for locking down many features (even reminders are locked down, requiring third party app syncing instead of native support) Also, currently in my region , the Xiaomi Watch 2 goes for exactly half the price of the other watches in this comparison, that's a huge win in my eyes.
Some things about the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic really disappointed me. There are a lot of non-removable Samsung apps, no ECG/blood pressure functionality on non-Samsung phones (although I managed to make it work with a forum post from XDA Developers, it required a lot of effort), it requires the use of 3 separate apps (which makes it a bit confusing and definitely over-engineered), and the battery life is very short. That's why I eventually bought the OnePlus Watch 2. It's not perfect; the app is definitely not as good as Samsung's, but the battery life is awesome. Additionally, I encountered a pairing issue with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Overnight, it suddenly stopped connecting to my phone. The only way to get it working again was to perform a factory reset on the watch. (I'm using a non-Samsung phone)
I just buy my GW 6 Classic 47mm ⌚️ today at 361$ on Amazon and I already have the GW 5 . 44mm I paid 127$ at that time and I love this watch ⌚️ alot 👍🏾💯🏆
I have a Samsung phone and watch 6 due to seamless integration. However, I wondered what other watches offered. Your comparison was very helpful regarding software and battery performance. As a whole, well done!
Excellent review as always. The one thing I am pretty sure you miss out on is the advantage of being able to charge the Samsung with reverse wireless charging from a phone or battery pack. As mentioned previously, this facility more than makes up for any battery disadvantage of the Classic (though the 5 Pro does have much more comparable battery to these others).
A friend had a Samsung watch a couple of years ago and said that it was slightly limited when not connected to a Samsung phone; is that still the case (if it ever was)? Also I'd take away a point or two from the Ticwatch in Performance based on their poor support history. The Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra only got an update to Wear OS 3 (not even 3.5) a couple of months ago and it removed the existing ability to customize the buttons.
Good video, I have One Plus Watch 2 and the GW6. The extra battery I get on the One Plus (as a former Fitbit user used to 5/6 days) makes it my favourite despite missing out on the ECG/BP monitor which I didn't really use (and BP monitoring was pretty inaccurate).
I really like the OnePlus watch 2, massive improvement over the first edition. In fact it's rated no2 on my chart. Love the display, battery life, performance and the dual OS feature is impressive. Main issue for me is it was too big for my wrist and Watch Face downloads and transfer takes longer than the other flagship watches. Other than that it's a beauty.
amazing comparison! among these candidates I would go for OP Watch 2. but... my heart is with Huawei :) currently using amazing Watch 4 pro. Warm regards from Moscow!
WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT IF... Mobvoi (for their next TicWatch Pro 6) ran the same OnePlus watch 2's dual SOC/Operating system architecure? The dual screen already helps with an impressive battery life, so with that 'Dual SOC/OS system' too to give it a WAY better battery life (possibly into the GREAT top Huawei watch batt life territory)? HECK I'D BUY THAT! 😏👌 😎🇬🇧
Tic-watch pro 5 is my favourite watch I love the fact it has sandwich 2 screens and the battery life otherwise all of them are just the same I bought my watch because of your opinion of the tic-watch pro 5 previously

Only one extra point for that sandwich display of the ticwatch? Common its a watch, it should last as long as possible before charging, that idea is very ingenious and a novelty. All those sensors that only work while you sleep on the Galaxy won't work if its on the charging pod instead being on your wrist. Also the dependency an a Samsung phone is a huge drawback. Now design is of course very personal thing but the Galaxy watch looks plain boring to me expect for the strap which I prefer over the other because of the leather finish. Then as others said before, the price should play a bigger role as the price tag is quite different from low to high. Also for me you are giving away points way to easily, 1-10 means 5 is average and 8-9 should be outstanding, yet all of your rating fall into that slice. Overall I feel that the ratings are way too high on all of them. Also style variations should have gotten its place in the video, they are all black so the ones that give you 2 or even more options should definitely get several point more. After all that's just my two cents :)
Thank you so much even this time i do not agree with you by giving each category of comparison the same value of marks (10 marks each), it is impossible that strap has the same marks of specs or battery.
