Josh the lead guitarist wrote this for his grandad when he was heading upstairs. One of the best metal ballads ever.
You have to check out „The Other Side“ of them. Probably in my Top5 Songs of all time.
I saw malevolence in Birmingham with trivium and heaven shall burn, as soon as they started i thought how the hell have i missed these guys, they did a brilliant set and played higher place as well, really poweful song..
The Other Side and Life Sentence from this band is fire its right in the middle of this and On Broken Glass for intensity
I'm 14 years off opiates. I can attest. Don't do drugs. This song and video are incredible. There's an acoustic version of this as well that's beautiful. Check out "The Other Side" for sure. And a heavier song about their bond as brothers "Waters Run Deep" is a banger.

Congratulations on 14 years clean Bill my wife has 9 years clean off pills but sadly she passed away in February of this year from covid.

Malevolence is so good in so different ways. If you are into high Skill instrumentals just have a look at their drum and guitar playthroughs. It may not be your taste of music but its fucking insane how skilled those guys are in making music. Cheers

Malevolence are a amazing band! An u should definitely give there albums a proper spin. Personally as a oldskool metal fan, I just think they bring that old vibe back to metal where there not up on stage trying to look all angry an like there evile and shit, they joke around have a good time on stage an just kill it live like pantera did an bring that oldskool mosh pits back. U need to see them live!!! Trust me. but there down to earth with the fans. An this tune just shows there diversity.
