We have a place in Central IL that allows young ladies to borrow dresses for whatever their event is. Lots of times it is for Homecoming or Prom dances. They borrow and return them cleaned. They get their dresses from donations or on clearance and have all sizes. It has been incredible. We have our teen daughter and have hosted three exchange students who didn’t want/need to buy dresses that were able to borrow dresses. I think we have borrowed 12 dresses so far! And it is all run by volunteers. We always do a cash donation because we can and it helps them cover costs. Thank you for donating for such a great cause!
I bought a large tree bag at HomeSense 🇨🇦/Homegoods 🇺🇸 … for my 10ft tree… lol, my boys thought it was a body bag for XXXL people! They are great, mine has wheels too. You can add your extra lights & tree skirt too. And yes, it’s hard as heck to get a tree back in the box it came in. Hint for those with big trees: tie a red ribbon around each electrical connection to locate it easily for reconnection & mark each section with a tag to know what section of tree gets put in what order. Sure saves time & aggravation. HAPPY 2025 to you & yours! Love you Abby & family! 🥰
Donations are wonderful. Question Priscilla have you ever shopped in a 2nd hand store? Obviously ya'll hadn't been to the place ya dropped off your dresses at. We have several places you can purchase great items of all kind & 100% of their sales go to hospitals, ect...Just another way to give back...😊❤
I about died when you came through the gate.Hillarious! How scary not having a fence up for a few days.I would be a nervous wreck.Hopefully they can get the new fence quickly.
That’s better lol 😂 I love that you’re donating dresses for those who are in need. I have a few dresses from when my daughter was in high school that I’m going to donate to the school. I figure they know best who is in need in my small town
Yes you can get your tree back in the box it came in. It is not easy but we do it ever year it's a 7 1/2 foot tree three pieces we wrap a rope around each section and cinch it down. Get it in the box it takes two people squish the box and tape it with box tape. My husband and I are now 70 so we got a 6 1/2 foot pencil tree this year. Its a lot easier.
Hope's Closet is a wonderful place to donate. They are a true charity unlike Goodwill which is a for-profit business. Our local Hope's Closet supports the women and children shelter.
Cilla you’re a wonderful woman for donating such beautiful dresses.when i was in highschool i use to help special needs schools out for the fashion shows with hair & makeup with other girls from school. We all loved it and kept having more girls & guys help. I heard they no longer do it 😢.
I'm really glad that you are going to your friends fixed and I see the issues you're having with like security and keeping Abby safe and the animals safe and everything. Hopefully everything goes well with that. I'm just curious could you give me a look at the picture above? The laundry room it's like in the doorway between the laundry room and living room. What is that? I've always been curious about it. It looks really cool and where did you get it? Also I hope you guys had a fantastic New years. It must have been such a treat for you to have Abigail go to the grandparents. She seemed like she had a wonderful time as you said and I'm just glad you guys got to spend quality time together. It's very hard to get time together when you have a child with a disability. I struggle with that as a single mom with a child with ADD odd separation, anxiety and generalized anxiety. So I understand how it is and how important it is to have family. Well. Take care and have a great day
I just cleared out the entry closet of jackets. I’m bringing them with tomorrow as we “work” at Ruby’s Pantry, the church partnered with the Ruby’s has opened up their “Blessing Basement” which is FREE clothing, house hold needs, whatever.
So weird to see your backyard temporarily without a fence. My hope is Rizzo doesn't decide to venture into the pool at one point and gets panicked and scared... Yayy to a fence that will work for you all!!!
Hi abbie and family, thats was nice of y'all donate y'all beautiful dresses to the goodwill, hope y'all are having a wonderful friday and stay safe out there❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗
I have come to the end of the available space in my condo! My house is a total mess because I have no place to put the new clothes or other items I buy. I guess I am like Cilla, I've run out of room in my closet. 😂 It hasn't stopped me from buying either, so it's major destash my home time! I had a deadline of tomorrow since my Mom and I were supposed to fly down to Florida, and someone needs to come take care of my cats. I'm close, but I still need to take many loads to the dumpsters and finish reorganizing my clothes. Oh and I should add my junk closet and kitchen to the list. Well, my mom got sick overnight, and we had to reschedule our flights. I switched my trip to February. I will arrive 8 days before my Mom leaves to return to Wisconsin. Mom hopefully will leave next Thursday night. She's 86 so I will take her to the airport and stay until she gets on the plane. Her sister in Florida did the same for her return trip in the past. Only issue is it's going to be COLD in both WI and FL next week. I could handle 60° FL better than negative degree WI! 😮
Thousands of people rescued from human trafficking, 10,000 life changing surgeries all around the world, hundreds of orphaned children found homes, almost 3/4 of a million people with disabilities have attended a prom dedicated to them and experienced something they never would have in their lives otherwise. Frankly he sounds terrifying

How do. Yo lock yourselves in? Just by regular locks or with smart technology. I want to be able to make my apt. Milore secure. Thanks!
Does the company not put up a temporary fence around the pool? Putting cautionary tape around wouldn’t fly with me. That’s not safe 😂
Congrats on the new fence!😁😁😁 Can’t
wait to see the finished result.✌️

My tree fits in its original box. We don’t even struggle to close it. We got it about 3 years ago. My old tree was another story. 😊😂
They're gonna love those dresses!
Great organization! So awesome that these dresses will be enjoyed again! Happy New Year Maas family!

can't wait to see the new fish pond x
You can change that fact Ya’ll!! You can do it.
My daughter donated her prom dresses to a organization for special needs girl I think the same event Abbie goes but here where we live.
Yay a new fence!! Can't wait to see the new one
Great cause, this happened before and Asa always fixes it ..
They say you can always clean faster when someone is coming over. ie: cleaning the fence line. 🤣 Aw man no more Christmas tree throwing competitions.
I would be super concerned about people and the pool. We can never leave our gate unlocked to be properly covered with insurance.
