    Beautiful! We had a beautiful Red Japanese Maple in our front yard landscape in New Jersey! Ground cover of Pansies and Lilly of the Valley! Very pretty! Love the Japanese Maple! Thanks for sharing!

    Informative video,thanks for posting. I have just begun to keep maples (acers) in containers in my small town garden, I find them fascinating and beautiful, I wonder how often I should water them through the winter months though, I water them daily with a small amount of rain water through the summer.

    Good morning, your work is great. I have a question for you ... When I prune a branch of maple palmatum, remove much more sap and dry more than 10 cm from the pruned branch, I want to ask if you can answer me. What would be the time of year to cut branches without the plant removing as much sap in the cut? Thank you

    My lovely Irish garden suffers from one major fault...West WINDs. I try to plant them in protected places..so far so good. One older purple one is about 12 foot now.

    I've got a few crispy leaves, does this mean its it for the plant? Should I snip them off? I've only got a small patio and half is shade all the time and the other half is sun at the hottest part of the day late noon. Which spot would be best? Thanks kindly

      @acechadwick 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It appears to be one of the red dissectum types Garnet, Red lace, Crimson Queen. The one she picked up was a 'Suminagashi'

    hi, i need help. I have a Maple tree that was doing fine for many years, I added some Baby Bio and the leaves have drooped. They still have their colour, but she looks very sad. Is this to do with the plant food? what have i done wrong?
    should i take her out of the soil and re-pot with fresh soil?

      Same here, mine was gorgeous one day and the very next day all of the leaves were drooping?

      Sandy Watkins mine has finally gone back to his glorious self, I recon it could have been the weather temperature dropping from hot to cold everyday!

    "Pruning Japanese maples often ruins their shape."
    There goes about 1200 years of the art of bonsai then!

    She is wrong about pruning if you don’t prune they get out of shape.the Acers she was showing have been pruned time and time again.otherwise you would only get one or to shoots
