- The Beatles performing “Here Comes The Sun.”
On August 8, 1969, the world’s most famous band stepped out from London’s EMI Recording Studios to stride, single-file, across the black and white stripes of Abbey Road’s nearby zebra crossing. With photographer Iain Macmillan balanced on a stepladder and one policeman stopping the street’s light traffic, The Beatles crossed back and forth three times, led by John Lennon, followed by Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison. Just six photos were taken, with the fifth selected as the cover shot for The Beatles’ penultimate studio album, Abbey Road, named after the tree-lined street in which the studios are located.
Released September 26, 1969, Abbey Road was not The Beatles’ final album, as Let It Be followed in 1970, but it was the last one John, Paul, George, and Ringo recorded together as a band. The Beatles celebrated Abbey Road’s anniversary with a suite of beautifully presented packages released worldwide on September 27, 2019 by Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMe. Now available, the album’s 17 tracks are newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and mix engineer Sam Okell in stereo, high res stereo, 5.1 surround, and Dolby Atmos, accompanied by 23 session recordings and demos, most of which are previously unreleased.

Perhaps the most beautiful song ever. There are definitely more complex instrumentals, more technical guitar playing, more impressive vocals, but there isn't a single song that is more beautiful than this one. The amount of happiness that you get from listening to this song is insane. It's more addictive than any drug known to man. There will never be another band like the Beatles, ever!!!

When I die I want this to be end credits song of my life
I had the same thought some years ago. On a rainy day at the end of the Requiem Mass for one of my wife's sisters, as we turned to leave the Church, sunlight started to shine through the stained glass and illuminate the place. Knowing that the struggle with cancer was over, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief. This song immediately came to mind and I had to play the record when we got home. I still do.

Playing Total Eclipse of the Heart followed by Here Comes the Sun during the Eclipse was an experience.
It's amazing. Even when my cat is in a grumpy mood and won't come snuggle in I play this song and before the 1st chorus she is snuggled in. Works just about every time. Not sure what is going on other then this song is great enough to calm a cat. Or, she is just a Beatles/Harrison fan. Who knows? She can't speak. Just actions. I will play it 3-4 times in a row and she is asleep all nuzzled into me.
Update: My cat went missing for almost 2 weeks and I was heartbroken. Turns out she wondered off across the street and a cat lover took it home. But she wanted to find the owner and was calling around local businesses until it eventually lead to me and it was returned. I imagine it was a little sketched out from the experience and it was being a bit stand offish. So, I played this song and it let out a big "meow" cry, and now everything is back to normal.
As odd as it comes off it seems this song is as special to my cat as it is to me. Bless you George. Clapton must have been spellbound when George came up with this song in his yard. Well who wouldn't be other then maybe the Grinch?

He also has several great tunes from his solo career.

#Calling all Beatles fans. I was lucky's enough to see them when they visited Edinburgh . They played a concert in a Cinema called the Regal. Queued all night for the Beatles. When Merseybeat got going a lot of bands came to play in Edinburgh. The Searchers played in a dance club and I was near enough to grab the drummers stick when he rested them. Of course, I did give them back.
Happy memories of all of those days. Glad I'm alive to share with you and of course, living at the times in the 60s when the Beatles and Elvis. Sonny and Cher filled the lives of us teenage schoolgirls.
