Eh I like the fixed camera, tons of games in the past had it. Fear or not, still made a successful franchise out of it. I feel like the camera angles were purposefully looking away from the hallway to hide the enemies since some hallways were long. Otherwise all camera angles would show everything and there would be no surprises. Silent hill did the same with it's camera angles - worked then and works now. Games like RE7 still have tons of corners to compensate for the lack of fixed camera, along with darkness, and fog. There's still strategies to hide the enemies, that's just capcom's first. Nothing wrong with it.
I love the randomiser to this game, seriously can repeat it endlessly.. I do not enjoy the speedrun of the randomiser though, it sounds weird but the reason for this is because of how much reliancy you are on RNG. Yes there is a certain amount of degree of RNG in nearly every speedrun, however the randomizer could quite literally stick the main key elements you need to get to lab as well as the fuel capsule and a magnum in the very beginning of the game if it wanted to. For this very reason I don't think the RANDO speedrun is very fun. With that said, the original speedrun of the game without the randomiser is INCREDIBLY entertaining! It's fun to try too!
RE4 was great and all but it started the zombies-with-guns phase for the series.
