I pulled this card back in the day. It was completely scratched up. I sold it for 50 bucks years ago.
Two words: artificial scarcity.
Truer words were never spoken.
That’s why I don’t buy 10s from any grading company, especially from that busted ass company PSA. People don’t even collect cards anymore, they collect labels.
I want this card 😢
💯
I have 2, both for sale, not graded, 1 is in dead perfect shape
Wow imagine if someone had by accident/chance kept around some sealed cartons or cases? Look up the going rate for them at BBCE and you'll see what I mean.
But seriously if I had $200K for baseball cards (that'll be the day) I'd much rather have nice 1950s/1960s sets. I'll take those over one card with a little number 10 over it any day!
Only the big boys get 10's. They send thousands of cards in and you send in 1. Who do you think is going to get a 10? I'd rather have cards authenticated and buy on eye appeal. Wouldn't that be fun. That's never going to happen though because there's too much money involved.
even 800 for PSA 8 sounds high.
I don’t disagree
Disgusting what the hobby has become. People pull 1 of 1s and get them graded. How much vslue can you expect to add??
I have an 8. It's a nice 8; when I look at 9s I don't see any difference between the 9s and my 8.

They take absolutely no responsibility for why a card got the grade it did. Furthermore they set the market price, however in their fine print, they say they take no accountability in issuing a grade. Too bad whoever sent in that nine, got a grader who was having a bad day.
