The Tow Truck is custom made and was based off of a Tamiya Scania R620 6x4 Semi Truck. The Tow Truck is hydraulic and electric. Each one of these rigs has a sound unit installed. Wow Medic that's quite impressive! Taking fully functional scale RC to a whole new level. All four front tires turning, real hydraulics, a working boom, tow lines, complete lighting all the way around, a killer sound kit and more... man!!! Can't wait to see some towing on the trails😊!!!

That's actually really impressive. I can only imagine that the chrome rig has some significant weight to it. For the SCANiA to be able to pull itself and the rig it must have some power!

I love it, no need to dub an audio track for engine noise, both rigs have sound kits! Always love your heavy equipment videos, and the detail you go to. The driver standing by during hook up was a laugh and a half. The Scania is a beautiful rig, nice job Greg.
Its the winter I live in a country where for practically 5 months of the year you really don't want to be out filming for to long or bits fall off in the cold and I am not on about the RC...great video and I am sure as soon as the perma frost has gone you and jem and little Mac will come out of hibernation and be out soaking up the rays of a new spring and summer...

The towed truck drops off of them grilles if you leave the winch cables attached. You need some ministraps to lock the front wheels on the grilles. Awesome truck and love your vids :)

Been watching for 5 years and wouldn't watch if you didn't do the videos you wanted when you wanted! I'd rather you be sincere about your hobby and adventure than just do what everyone else wants you to. It's what makes you one of the best rc you tubers!

Very cool. As a some others pointed out take off the cables once the rig is positioned in the lift.

I know you hate the "you need to do..." comments, but as a former wrecker driver I can give some advice, some wheel straps or axle chains are needed to keep the load in the wheel bars, having the winches hooked (as I think you observed) will keep the load from pivoting with the stinger and cause a "derailment" if you will
I was actually hoping that by posting this video - that some experienced guys would give me advice! Yes, I need to strap those tires down.. and chains too.. ok, got it! I was having problems with derailment already.. haha! great advice, thank you!!

I have been watching your videos for a few months now and loving every video more and more I finally decided to get my own Rc so I got a traxxas slash today and I am having a blast! Hopefully one day I'll have some cool builds but until then keep on keeping on!!
My friend, the traxxas slash is an awesome machine. Super Durable, and it can really take a beating. Great choice on that rig.. you're in for a ton of fun! good luck, and happy RC'ing!
I don't know what it is some of you are complaining about. Medic cant please all of you here. As you can see he has a lot of broken stuff here. So it only make sense to make build and repair videos. And as fare as affording the rc hobby, its only as expensive as you wanna make it. And medic for your tractor find a local weld shop and have them tig weld that hole up for ya. (Provided that it is metal) I would say send it my way and would do it but shipping would kill a guy lol.

Hey medic, im not an expert on towing or anything but im pretty good with trucks. I wanted to point out that in real life you dont see many trucks towed as a couple (truck and trailer combo), because it puts a ton of stress on the king pin and the 5th wheel but your vids are awesome.

Did you bump the 5th. wheel, and make sure it was locked before pulling away?
And it looks like you will need to modify the lift arm so the front bumper will clear it. The steer tires weren't all the way in the cradle, and the bumper on the truck was sitting on it.
I love the truck, and am looking forward to more videos.

Do you recommend for me to get a axial SCX10 honcho for my first rc because I live in a rocky place I like to go 4WD a lot. And is it any good quality.
This is kinda an off topic question but I have a 1/18th scale rc car that is currently running with a mamba micro pro and a cc motor the motor doesn't exactly fit and I think it's time for an upgrade I was thinking for an esc a tekin rx spec gen 2 but I don't know about the motor. Any recommendations? Has to be about 36mm long

Medic you should have made it so as the semi was driving the driveshaft "snapped" off as a suggestion if you are going to do another one!
medic i was going to suggest raising the lift slightly higher as well as backing the cables of just a little bit to allow the wheels to sit in the holders properly it will help with turning as well as you will get a true feel for driving a tow truck with a load on it, of course this depends on how the front bumper of the rig being towed is made, also may i suggest starting out practicing with just a truck then after a while add the trailer, i must say ive only been watching for the last few years but i have most certianly enjoyed every video i have seen to include this one, your drift videos inspired me to get into rc drifting since there is no possible way i can afford to build a true drift car and be able to keep it up and going to meets and such. as for my opinion you have been a great help to a lot of people in them making the right choice for their selves on what model to start with, honestly in 7 years you could cover just about every land based model there is because while there have been inoviations in the rc world they havent really changed the chassis designs much, its all been in the electrics of the rc world with brushless power plants as well as the lithium polymer batteries but that's easily covered in a few videos, kudos to you for being on for 7 years running medic!!!! hope all is well with the family, may be heading your way in the next few months working with much larger toys i.e. snowmobiles and atv's
