Hey Cap was that one of the former inmates tagging along with you on the tour? He said "Hand" @ 1:32. Maybe he was actually there and saw that the rivets didn't brake the axe but it broke your hand. You should bring a audio recorded with you when you tour these old places. The inmates are probably a lot more interesting than the tour guide.

I went to a small prison once in Texas that was in use through the 80's I believe. They didn't do rooms. Was just bars everywhere for a few floors. Warden and wife lived on first floor. That's AFTER the one you went to closed! And the difference I see is stark. On the other hand, I imagine those rooms and corridors in Jersey being really dark and really intolerable. I imagine the airflow is poor too. Texas was airy and light in comparison. Big difference, but not sure of the improvement. other than the bathroom at least not being in the center of the room.

@@ThePhillyCaptain OK, fair enough. Everyone in my family would strongly disagree as all three of us had some crazy in-your-face things happen to us when we owned our townhouse in Galloway Twp. When you have an ice-cold mass bump into you you tend to change your perspective...LOL. We had quite a few crazy things take place in that townhouse which defied the laws of physics....but only after friends and family started dying.
