Well Gav your a better man than me model making is something I would never go near I understand what you are saying but it still looks amazing to me and I think the colours work well don't do yourself down like you say it's all a learning curve . Take care terry.
Looks like time for some wet sanding. When you can't get a smooth coat after a spray, you can wet sand and spray some more. Sand then polish. Large flat areas are where you are learning new skills. If in doubt, you can strip the paint off and go again.
Copper is very nice colour gav i done 1988 porsche tamiya kit with the copper colour and bronze after market wheels i since then put back on the original porsche wheels make car look awsome as i dechromed the wheels the styrene was black and that was colour i was goin to paint the wheels but never did cause the styrene black after dechromed was perfect but truck looks awsome very nice buddy copper black nice together
Gav I think the copper and black look brilliant together and the scheme you used to partition them is awesome! Very well done and doesn't look at all like it's your first truck etc. For the roof there, I've had that happen to me numerous times with Zero paints so I don't think that is anything on you. I've started moving away from them now because of that. Seems like it's just too aggressive of paint and mars then plastic.
