It clashes too many colors, (blue red yellow, and is for the most part only blue) and has no special design all around.

supermans powers simply cant be challenged if its really a combat. Its his virtues that make him contemplate if its really worth it and that makes him way superior.
You also forgot to mention the fact that in some storylines, Clark gave up his US citizenship in order to not have the US be admissible for any damage he does. This way, Superman can work/operate on a global scale, without the problem that is not being able to enter another country without permission.
