We are baring witness to a man who decided one day to play the game on his opposite hand to give himself more of a challenge. That's how good he is when he's at his best.
Ronnie is without doubt the greatest player we have ever seen, how does he do some of things he's done, the 92 clearance when everything was on the cushions, the unbelievable 5 min 147, coming from 4-0 down,to win 5-4, winning the last three frames against Selby in the semi final of the world championship to go through to the final and many, many more. You just can't take your eyes off him when he's at the table,a true sports legend.
Absolutely criminal that he hasn’t won sports personality of the year the people who choose those awards wouldn’t know their arse from their elbow. He is the Federer of Snooker, Ronnie made the sport an art form.
@@newdawnfades5725 That's what i think. Ronnie plays snooker the way Roger Federer played tennis. They both made it look great to watch. I lived in England when Steve Davis was master - and my favorite or favourite player - but Ronnie O Sullivan, now he’s passed Davis’ title haul, is a worthy achiever above Davis. @@lee97ynwa74 Yeah, when you see snooker on tv it doesn't look that difficult, but when you actually play it on those huge tables, it's a really difficult game. Just potting balls is hard, then you have position play, what the hell do you do, screw back, stun, put side on it? I keep saying it - non-snooker players, just try potting say a medium length pot, or cutting in a fairly tight ball and you'll realise how difficult it is. Then watch this guy doing those things - and more - and then have that cue ball arrive at the exact place he means it to go, to the millimetre. It's mind-blowing stuff.

He'd only be top ten if the other 9 spots were also held by Ronnie O'Sullivan. Ronnie is the all time no1 and may never be overtaken. Only 2 players have ever played the game close to Ronnie's standards, John Higgins and Judd Trump.
Thing about Ronnie that he doesn't have to hit the ball hard to get lots of action. The white just keeps rolling even though it's not moving fast. Strange...
If you listen carefully you can tell when a player is striking the balls very crisply. Ronnie’s usually striking the balls crisply. You can get a lot of action on the white without hitting overly hard that way. It probably cuts down on the throw that side spin normally gives as well.
